AAnonymous UserOur butler, Bianca, was incredibly warm and attentive. She anticipated our needs and even gave a souvenir to my child. A huge bonus was not having to go downstairs to pick up food deliveries; the concierge brought them directly to our room! The hotel's central location is perfect, directly connected to the Plaza 66 mall. On days with bad weather, we could easily pop over to the mall for some shopping. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Kunming!

BBen CubbageHands down the best hotel in the Kunming KMG airport area. You must stay here! I am a huge fan! I live in China and travel through KMG airport often for layovers and have stayed at the Ji Hotel right inside the airport. That hotel is okay (and has the location advantage of being right inside the terminal) but feels very stuffy and many of the rooms have no windows. In many ways that hotel isa broom closet compared tithe DoubleTree 🌳 🌳. The DoubleTree by Hilton blows that Ji Hotel (and most others in the KMG area) out of the water💦! For an extra 10 minute private van ride, the upgrade in conditions is significant and well worthwhile. The lobby is beautiful and the breakfast is a true 5 star masterpiece that has LOTS of options for both western and Chinese tourists, including made to order egg station, made to order noodle station, and an incredible fresh salad 🥗 bar with high quality ingredients (very hard to find in China 😜). The service staff is top notch with great English at check in and very helpful all the way through. The hotel is brand new and everything is sparkling clean. The elevator is very fast and modern and the furnishings are all tasteful and elegant! There are so many free extras that make this an incredible value: -Free Private shuttle in brand new Buick 🚐 van -Free hand baked chocolate chip cookie on check in -2 free bowls of local Yunnan noodles delivered to your room for you -Free Puer tea tasting

SSherSHAWA great and comfortable hotel! Location: The hotel is directly opposite Daguan Park and Yu Garden, so we could start exploring right after checking in on the first day! It's also a quick taxi ride to Cuihu Park/Jiaochang Middle Road, usually around 20 minutes. It's about 45 minutes from the airport and roughly 40 minutes from Dounan Flower Market. Ambiance: Located by Dianchi Lake, it's very quiet overall. The room was incredibly clean, equipped with smart home devices, and ordering takeout was super convenient. We could order things like 'Zhen Tan Fried Chicken' or 'Shang Shan He Cha' (tea) and a robot would deliver them to our room. The hotel also offers sound bowl meditation classes in the evening, which I tried and found very therapeutic~ Service: The service was excellent. The staff at the front desk were all very kind and gentle. They even proactively helped us with our luggage when we took a taxi to the airport, which was incredibly helpful. Plus, breakfast runs until 10:30 AM and offers both Chinese and Western options. During my two-day stay, I tried the rolled noodles and rice noodles, both were delicious, and I especially loved the accompanying mushrooms. Overall, a very satisfying trip! I'll definitely consider staying here again next time I'm in Kunming, haha!

LLijuan  ♪(^∇^*) This is my third visit this year, and I absolutely love this hotel, even though it's only 30 kilometers from my home. My favorite part is the large balcony, which offers a delightful view of the lake and lush green mountains, with high skies and drifting clouds – it's incredibly peaceful. The evenings are very quiet. The soundproofing in the rooms is excellent, and the breakfast at the restaurant is fantastic.

The staff's service was prompt and enthusiastic. They also provided a detailed explanation and instructions for the wardrobe lighting issue I mentioned last time. The room's facilities and amenities are excellent, with a great sense of space and fully equipped, making it as convenient as staying at home. The hotel is located in the city center's commercial district, making it very easy to get to the surrounding attractions. Overall, this return stay was excellent, and I'll definitely prioritize this hotel for future trips to Yunnan.

Upon check-in, there were certainly commendable aspects, as well as a few minor disappointments, which I'll honestly document for fellow travelers' reference. 🌴The hotel's most captivating feature is its environment. The lush, layered greenery gives the distinct impression of being in a tropical garden. The space is expansive, and the rooms are quite spacious with a well-designed layout, making for a very comfortable stay. Although it's been open for some years, it's evident that maintenance is meticulous; the walls, floors, and furniture are kept clean and tidy, with no signs of age. The vibrant green foliage is abundant, with winding paths creating a serene atmosphere. Being here feels like escaping into a quiet, hidden sanctuary deep within the city, far from the hustle and bustle, with the evening breeze rustling through the trees, gentle and relaxing.🍃 🏋🏻‍♀️I also want to specifically mention the fitness center and swimming pool. Their size is uncommon for hotels of this type, with a full range of equipment and crystal-clear pool water, making for an invigorating swim. The changing room facilities are also well-equipped. For those who regularly exercise, these are definite bonus features. ☔️However, during this stay, I also encountered a few minor disappointments. What was particularly disheartening was the lack of appropriate service etiquette. The hotel's greeting service seemed subjectively biased, treating guests inconsistently. I observed other arrivals being greeted with polite welcomes and gentle assistance with their luggage, while upon my arrival, no one inquired or assisted me. This disparity, the absence of a warm greeting or help, subtly diminished the initial excitement I felt upon entering the hotel. Furthermore, for me personally, the mattress was too soft, and the pillow height wasn't ideal, leading to some shoulder and neck discomfort after a night's sleep. The comfort level definitely didn't meet my expectations. Also, my friend arrived before me, and the room they were initially assigned had a leaking ceiling, possibly due to old facilities in some rooms. While the hotel promptly addressed it, I still hope that housekeeping can thoroughly inspect rooms before assigning them to guests.

We booked a twin room, and it was a bit small; there was barely any space apart from the two beds, nowhere to put our two suitcases. However, it's worth mentioning that the hotel's service was excellent, and they gave us a souvenir when we checked in and checked out. The restaurant on the 19th floor has a fantastic view, overlooking the entire city of Kunming. There's also a pool and bar on the top floor, which is a major highlight of this hotel.

GGuest UserOur entire stay was excellent, thanks to Heidi's thoughtful and attentive service, and the polite and enthusiastic staff. All the service details were spot on. The hotel has been open for ten years, so some facilities are a bit dated. My main wish for improvement would be the guest room TVs; even standard small hotels now support screen mirroring, but a five-star hotel doesn't, which is quite inconvenient. For our extended stay, we were given a 270-degree view room with expansive high-altitude views that were stunning. The room was quiet and comfortable, and the bedding was soft, significantly enhancing our experience. Aside from the minor disappointment with the TV equipment, everything else—dining, service, and views—was impeccable. It remains our preferred choice when visiting Kunming. The overall location is very good, the bed was comfortable to sleep in, and the room layout was well-designed and excellent. The hotel offers great high-altitude views, perfect for relaxing after exploring, enjoying a bath and a drink while overlooking the city.

Getting a taxi to the airport was also very convenient. The bed was super comfortable and the views were fantastic. Both the room and the bed were excellent. It's a great choice for anyone visiting Kunming.

GGuest UserThe location is pretty good, close to Plaza 66, about an 8-minute walk. The hotel's concierge service was good; staff were always there to greet us multiple times when we entered and exited. We booked connecting rooms, but they were externally connected, not internally. This made it inconvenient, especially when the kids were asleep, as the sound of swiping the card to enter the room was quite loud. So, it wasn't ideal. The room was too small; the bathroom and shower were cramped together, and there wasn't enough space to turn around. It felt very restrictive. Breakfast was just average. Not many varieties, but the quality was decent. The freshly squeezed juice was watered down, and the watermelon juice wasn't good. Overall, I didn't really feel like there was much service.
