Kunming Hotels with Pools

The biggest pleasant surprise of my Kunming trip was definitely the Dianyu Healing Hotel. It's conveniently located near Daguan Park and boasts excellent facilities: a clean outdoor pool, a gym, and complimentary self-service laundry and drying. They even offer daily sound bowl healing sessions and morning yoga. The front desk staff, especially one young man, provided meticulous service; check-in was efficient, and he proactively shared sightseeing routes for Dianchi Lake. Even food deliveries were brought to the room by a robot! The breakfast spread was a rich mix of Western and Chinese options. The lobby has a serene, Zen-like atmosphere, and cleanliness was impeccable everywhere. The self-service laundry and sound bowl healing were incredibly relaxing for both body and mind. Plus, parking was convenient, and the room had excellent soundproofing, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. Overall, my stay was comfortable and relaxing from start to finish. I highly recommend this place for anyone vacationing in Kunming!

Throughout my stay, whether it was for room replenishment, travel advice, or any impromptu requests, she handled everything promptly and appropriately with a gentle and professional demeanor, offering incredibly attentive service. Thanks to the excellent location, high-quality facilities, and the exceptional service from staff like Emily, the Grand Hyatt brand's service standards were truly showcased. This stay far exceeded my expectations, and I will definitely choose your hotel again on my next visit to Kunming.

The apartment is great and the lady who took care of us answered promptly to our requests, so it's a great option if you want to feel like you're actual living in Kunming, instead of just being a guest in a hotel. The only minor issues is that there seem to be some stains in the ground that should be cleaned more thoroughly, and also the wok that we were offered to cook had a lot of burnt oil on the bottom, so the moment we put it on the hob it started to burn and stink. We gave up on cooking because we didn't want to have any accident or fire (incidentally, someone else triggered the fire alarm on our last night). We later asked for a small pot to boil the eggs we had bought and that small pot was great, so I think more care should be put on the cooking utensils offered to the guests. If it weren't for those small things, I'd have nothing to say but good things, so I hope this feedback can help this great hotel become perfect haha. Thanks for all your help and kindness, 阿姨！

I spent a long time choosing a hotel for our trip to Kunming because I wanted somewhere that would keep the kids entertained, but also be suitable for celebrating our wedding anniversary and a birthday. I chose this place primarily for the bathtub in this room type and its convenient location. However, once we arrived, I was truly impressed by how comprehensive the amenities are. From meals to entertainment, and catering to both children and adults, everything is taken care of. The staff were also incredibly friendly and attentive. The biggest surprise was the handwritten birthday card – in this digital age, a handwritten card really warms the heart. We booked two nights, and we didn't even leave the hotel for one of them; we spent the entire day there with the kids and never got bored. My children are already talking about coming back again.

If I'm looking to relax by Dianchi Lake again, I'd definitely consider InterContinental. The hotel is very close to Dianchi Lake, and you can walk to Haigeng Dam to watch the sunset, which gives it a real vacation vibe – perfect if you're planning fewer city excursions. The evening ceremony was quite interesting, especially since it was drizzling the night we watched, which added a lovely atmosphere! However, during the ceremony, there were many children running on the wooden bridge, which wasn't ideal for those of us watching from the lobby bar. Perhaps they could consider roping off the area during the ceremony? Also, the drinks at the lobby bar were quite mediocre. Can they really not afford a proper bartender? Facilities: Generally meets 5-star hotel standards. Although it's an older property, the room facilities are well-maintained. A downside was the pool changing rooms, which were quite basic and not cleaned promptly. Hygene: Very good, the room was clean and tidy. Ambiance: The hotel's public areas are relatively small for a resort hotel, but the plant arrangements are lovely, and there are many name tags to identify the trees. However, the numerous shops inside do detract from the brand's premium feel. Service: The shuttle service was efficient, and the staff were warm and welcoming, making for a comfortable stay. Another point of criticism is the breakfast restaurant. Both the variety and quality were not up to the InterContinental standard, nor did they match the hotel's resort positioning. After all, a delicious breakfast is what makes you want to return. Furthermore, at the two noodle stations, the instructions were unclear. One side was a fixed small bowl of rice noodles, while the other was plain noodles where you added your own toppings. There should ideally be a small blackboard listing the options for guests to choose from, but there wasn't. The staff also didn't proactively explain the options; I had to ask detailed questions to understand. This led to a poor experience, especially since the noodles weren't particularly tasty. I hope the hotel can improve this in the future.

Arrived at the hotel at night. Was a bit disappointed at first: no parking in front of the hotel and the lobby was quite small. However, the front desk service was professional and enthusiastic. They even offered flower pastry snacks and a late-night supper, which quickly got us into vacation mode. The hotel design is very modern. The red and black color scheme is stylish. The room was a bit small but clean and comfortable. Only woke up the next morning to realize how close Green Lake was! The rooftop restaurant offers a beautiful panoramic view of Kunming. The location is just excellent!

My stay this time was excellent, definitely a five-star experience. Manager Heidi contacted me in advance to confirm my preferences and thoughtfully arranged the room before my arrival. The room faced Dianchi Lake, offering an amazing high-floor view. It was spotlessly clean and very quiet, ensuring a great night's sleep. The breakfast spread was plentiful, including many Yunnan local specialties. The hotel is located in the city center, making transportation very convenient. They also enthusiastically recommended several great restaurants, saving me the trouble of planning. I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Kunming.

The hotel environment is fantastic, right next to Yulongwan Park. There's a small path leading to the back entrance of the park, and it's lush with greenery, making the air really fresh. The front desk staff (especially the young lady) was super friendly and provided excellent service. The room was spacious, and all the drinks in the minibar were complimentary. It also had a balcony, perfect for soaking up the sun and enjoying a cup of tea – super relaxing!

The hotel's decor isn't modern; it has a traditional American style. The bathroom mirror and wall sconces reminded me of a home I once lived in, which had a similar design, so it felt very nostalgic. Although the room's facilities show their age, you can tell they've been meticulously cared for and well-maintained by the hotel staff. The cleanliness is spot-on, and the hotel service is very attentive, friendly, and polite. I recommend the connecting rooms for families; they offer plenty of space while still providing a good degree of privacy. The location is excellent. Just a short walk from the hotel, you can find authentic 'xiaoguo mixian' (small-pot rice noodles) and local barbecue. You can easily reach many wild mushroom hotpot restaurants by scooter. It was really enjoyable taking the kids around to experience the cityscape of Kunming.

Facilities: This is a Shangri-La Group express hotel, boasting a stylish and modern design. It shares the same building with the main Shangri-La hotel, so guests have access to their gym and swimming pool. The brand-new amenities make for a very comfortable stay. Location: It's conveniently located near the Parc 66 shopping mall area, and the Tuodong Sports Center Metro Station (Line 3) is right outside, making travel easy. Service: The hotel's Kaitang Cafe offers an excellent breakfast with a wide variety of high-quality dishes, including local specialties and outstanding bakery items. The restaurant staff are very friendly and helpful. The fitness center also provides fantastic service; they even offer complimentary coffee after your workout. I'd also like to thank the front desk staff, ISABEL, LOUIS, and HALINA, for their excellent service during my stay.
