Kunming Hostels

The apartment is very clean, it's been cleaned every day. Bed is comfortable and bedroom is quiet. Living room is beautiful. The owner is friendly, helpful and hard working woman. Location is near railway station and there is a lot of restaurants in the neighborhood. Thank you for hosting me!

I booked the Single room because I wanted to have a calm night but I also wanted to socialise that’s why I booked a hostel. First of all the receptionist was the cutest! She helped me with everything and was so kind. My room was big and the view from the balcony was spectacular. BUT the bed was really really really hard. You could feel the metal feather coming through. The receptionist gave me a few blankets to make the bed softer which helped. But if you are a sensitive sleeper I can’t recommend. In the end I slept better than expected. But keep in mind, it’s still a hostel. So, you will hear doors being shut regularly. If you are sensitive this will wake you up. The hostel itself is really cute and nice! The views are amazing. If you want to meet locals this is the perfect place. I didn’t meet any other foreign travelers here though. You can also wash and cook here. So all in all it’s a good and cheap hostel IF you are not a sensitive sleeper.

The hostel is 6 minutes from the Kunming Railway station! NORTH gate. I made the mistake of leaving by the south gate and had to walk about 15 minutes through some underpass. There was a communication issue because I don't read well in Mandarin Chinese and the map that tells you it's the north gate is a photo so I can't just do a quick translation. Kicked up a fuss about that and the staff/ owner was apologetic. She was really very pleasant and helpful. Perhaps in future correspondences, the North Gate should be emphasised simply because of the accomodation's proximity to the station. Thank you for a very comfortable stay. The accomodation is clean and neat, and quiet because the host has clearly put much thought into the design.

- The most surprising thing about this trip was staying in this youth hostel! The location is great, close to various attractions, and it is very convenient to travel. As soon as you enter the door, the clean and tidy environment makes you feel twice as good, the beds are comfortable, and the public areas are warm. The boss is warm and hospitable. Not only did he help plan the route, but he also met many like-minded friends. Here, not only did I have a comfortable place to stay, but I also gained a super unforgettable travel memory. I will stay here again next time I come here!

The inn is warm and unique, with complete facilities and clean and hygienic environment. You can enjoy tea and sunbathe in the courtyard; take a walk in the flower town to enjoy the beautiful scenery. There are also restaurants and restaurants. It is very pleasant.

Ideal for families with children. The environment is beautiful and quiet, with dazzling lights at night. It's surrounded by folk villages, and it's convenient to feed seagulls at Haigeng Dam. I'll definitely come back next time. The little girl downstairs is very helpful and kind!

I chose this hotel for a layover at Kunming Airport. It's not far from the airport and offers a shuttle service, making it incredible value for money for a Kunming Airport transfer. Free airport shuttle service: Just contact the hotel anytime for a pick-up or drop-off, very convenient.

Location was great that it was a walk away from the Kunming Railway Station where I needed to be to leave the city. I liked how it was near a lot of food places! The volunteer Evens was an interesting person to talk to when I learned about his background in what he does as an occupation and where he is originally from in China. The owner Winni was a nice person as well and I appreciated and enjoy her and some of the other guests that cooked for us the night that we had a big dinner. Thank you for being part of the chef crew Winni. Everybody who stayed at the place was respectful and considered towards one another in the way that they conducted themselves. Was able to go along with the rules of this hostel because it fit my daily habits. Nobody had any habits that bothered me. Not really into the hostel type of stays, due to lack of privacy. Was just happy to stay at this place since it was pretty much right at the doorstep of the Kunming Railway station where I can catch my train on time where I wouldn't end up getting lost in the city which in turn would end up missing it. The only negative thing that I didn't like was that the bathroom did not have bath towels and just regular hand towels where I would not be able to dry myself very well after showering. Because of this I didn't want to take a shower at this place and the fact that these towels were used repeatedly from other guests, which made me feel uncomfortable wanting to use it. Would come back to this Hostel again if I happen to have to come back to Kunming again where I needed to be near this train station to catch at train there.

The entrance is at the back of the building, not easily located. And the building door is locked so you need to wait for someone to open up for you then go to Elevator #3 to 13th Floor. The host is very nice and kind. The bed is comfy. Well worth the price

Upon entering, I found a piece of paper on the bed, which made me feel like the room wasn't thoroughly checked during cleaning. There was also no hairdryer in the room, which was very inconvenient after a shower. The abundance of power outlets everywhere in the room was the only thing I was really satisfied with. Regarding the check-in process for minors, I'm not sure if I should call it responsible or not. On the one hand, they made our group take photos because we had a minor with us, which seems responsible. On the other hand, they didn't register the child's information during check-in, which seems less responsible. A staff member led us to the room upstairs, but he seemed a bit 'rough around the edges' and not very enthusiastic, especially compared to the friendly person who handled our check-in.
