It's within walking distance to Cuihu Park and Kunming Old Street, and the subway is super close, making it incredibly convenient to get to Yuantong Mountain for cherry blossom viewing. It's also near Kunming Railway Station, so getting around is a breeze. The rooms are clean and tidy, with great natural light and soundproofing, making for a very comfortable stay. The front desk staff were warm and attentive; check-in was efficient, and they patiently recommended sightseeing routes and local delicacies. They were always quick to help with any issues, and their attitude was gentle and thoughtful. It's the ideal place to stay for exploring Kunming's food, sights, and flowers – excellent value for money and a fantastic experience. Definitely my top choice for a trip to Kunming!"

AAnonymous UserEnvironment: The hotel is located within the Expo Garden, formerly the Japan Pavilion, now transformed into a guesthouse. The entire place feels like a 'Little Kyoto' in Yunnan; the environment is absolutely beautiful, no wonder the little cat can sleep so adorably! I wish I could spend an entire day just appreciating the hotel. Service: The butler was incredibly warm and enthusiastic, patiently resolving every minor issue we brought up. We're very grateful and will definitely stay here again on our next visit!

AAliya0302It is definitely more wedding venue, more local oriented, very nice territory around, good for photoshoot and stuff , nice and friendly staff helped me a lot, but it was a bit confusing in general, like i booked it cause of hotsprings and outdoor pool, turns out you cannot use the outdoor pool and from all hot things was working only one stone bath. So basically we ended up in a very strange situation when 3 groups of people have or to wait in line to that bath or seat on each other. However Indoor pool was nice, big and clean, but bring your towel. The room itself is ...let's say not cosy and a lot reminded a changing room, probably cause of sink right next to the bed. So sum up, good place to have fun, massage, spa say, nice photos and so on, but maybe not a best place to stay for tourist.

GGuest UserThis was my third stay at the InterContinental Kunming, and I genuinely consider it a destination hotel. Even their most basic room type is incredibly comfortable, thanks to the spacious area and high ceilings. The most delightful surprise this time was that the breakfast coffee now includes lattes made with a semi-automatic espresso machine. They come with beautiful latte art, and the aroma and richness are much better than what you get from a fully automatic machine. The InterContinental has finally addressed the shortcomings in their breakfast coffee! I'm looking forward to seeing even more pleasant surprises and improvements on my next visit.

MM679462****I ordered takeout, but the hotel doesn't allow the deliveryman to deliver to the room because it was inconvenient for me, so I asked the front desk for help, and it was delivered to the room very quickly. When I asked the reason, the front desk guy told me that it was for the safety of the guests that the deliveryman was not allowed to go upstairs. The hotel has trained guests that if they need takeout to the room, they can help deliver it. The overall feeling of the hotel is good, and the service attitude is very good. When I checked in, I asked about the surrounding attractions and routes, and they explained it very patiently. The room internet connection was very fast, and I asked the waiter, who told me that each room has an independent dedicated line. The room feels clean, and you can swim, exercise, and take a hot spring bath. Since I had a lot of fun, I didn't have time to take a few photos of the hotel. I will take more photos after I check in next time.

Although it's an older establishment, the overall quality is still decent, and the location is convenient for feeding seagulls. The hotel even provides bread for feeding them. The toiletries have always been high quality. Since I was traveling with a child, the housekeeping staff proactively asked if we needed more bottled water, which was very thoughtful. The breakfast selection isn't huge, but the food tastes good. The rice noodles are particularly delicious. I forgot something in the room when checking out, and the hotel called to remind me and then helped mail it back. Thank you.

MMunanxiziA wonderful hideaway for a hot spring getaway. The private courtyard comes with its own hot tub, or you can switch things up and use the public pools. In the evenings, you can catch a stunning sunset, and the Ancient Dian Kingdom Museum is right across the way. The villa's amenities are top-notch, and it's very clean, even including a private sauna. There weren't any bugs this season, which made it a super comfortable and relaxing spot for a few friends to unwind. The breakfast and dinner at the mountaintop restaurant are both excellent, and they do Western dishes really well too!

Although it was quite far from the lobby and required 4-5 elevator transfers, the view from the room was excellent. I loved it. Service: They even held breakfast for us when we were almost late, and the staff were very accommodating. The cleaning ladies we met also helped us with the elevator, they were very kind. Indoor soaking tub water: One tub was actually perfectly sufficient. I took a soak at night and the water was very hot.
