"We had an incredibly perfect 6 nights at Alamayah, Sumba. The property is absolutely stunning and our experience was only heightened by the warm and personal service provided by the staff who treated us like family. We were picked up from the airport and driven to the hotel in spotless vehicles and as soon as we arrived given a welcome drink & and explained the property. Our room, Tahik, faced onto the ocean & it was beautiful watching the sunrise from our balcony everyday. The rooms are immaculately clean & every detail has been considered, from complimentary mini bar to toothpaste, sunscreen & bug spray. Housekeeping staff do a lovely job & we always looked forward to their turndown service in the evening which made bedtime so inviting. Every dish we ordered from the restaurant was delicious, and the menu has an excellent variety of Indonesian & Western dishes. The chefs obviously take a lot of pride in their cooking & the dishes looked and tasted amazing. Also not to be missed is the fantastic bar, the bartenders are expert cocktail makers and we indulged in a variety of different drinks during our stay. My husband who loves to surf was taken care of by the Surf Guide, which put my mind at ease knowing someone local to the area & familiar with the conditions would be out with him in the water. We had a wonderful 90 minute massage & did the Village Tour which we absolutely recommend every guest does. We are so thankful for every staff member who made our stay so memorable. We can’t wait to come & stay with you again. X"

"Beautiful hotel! There are only a few resort type hotel on the islandZ and this worth every buck to spend the day chilling in the room, by the pool and ordering room service. Food quality is great. Staffs are nice. Also there are not many restaurant options on the island. And we were able to see the milky way right from the room. Stunning!"

"Although West Sumba is nature tourists destinations such as beaches, ethnic villages houses and other cultural which most of the accommodations are at the beach, but there is only decent and good hotel called SIMA opened recently. The hotel is good for normal meetings but also good stay facilitated with swimming pool, gym, restaurant, cafe and meeting rooms."

"The hotel is a bit old, but the Superior rooms have been renovated. Breakfast is a la carte, but it's quite filling. The beach is nearby, but the seabed has corals and rocks."
