GGuest UserI booked it for a night, got their a little early in the morning. While Jacob was upfront, No Rooms now. Then enters Chris, the rock star manager. All I had to tell him was that I'm a Hilton honors member and the room was allotted immediately. Thank you again Chris, I truly appreciate it. The hotel room has everything you could imagine for and the rooms are quiet. Despite of being next to the airport. To get here once you come out of the airport, don't go in the direction of trams, instead if trams are on your left side, walk towards your right and it is literally a 5 minutes walk from the airport. The bar at the hotel is fancy but no happy hours :( Working kitchen with limited food options but is very manageable. The breakfast was better than most of the other hotels for sure. They do have a big parking lot as well just in case you need to park here.

GGuest UserThis was our second time at this hotel and we stayed for almost a week. You can't beat the location on George Street, right downtown, close to shops and restaurants. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms and bathrooms are very nice. The king bed had a good mattress and pillows. There is a safe. They seem to have made upgrades since our last pre-covid stay, including air-conditioning in (all?) rooms. As you would expect in a big city, the rooms are quite small and the hotel is not exactly quiet; also depending on where your room faces. We were right by the elevator, which I generally don't like. I wonder if it's because we booked through our credit card and not direct. It seems there is sometimes a ”penalty'. The rooms are supplied daily with water, delicious cookies and snacks. You can make individual cups of drip coffee in a filter, which is much better than instant coffee but not as good as a Nespresso, IMHO. We had breakfast included and the Printing Press is just wonderful, for breakfast, any meal and later evening cocktails and whiskey. The Burr & Co is a coffee shop, also right next door, with tables outside. Love that place. The hotel has great service. We lost a suitcase and got daily support in checking on the status and changing the address on the delivery. There seemed to be a shortage on hair conditioner and we didn't have a sign for do-not-disturb the first day and got woken at 8 AM, but that didn't spoil our enjoyment of the hotel stay. We expect to be back.

TTakLady at reception was very friendly and welcoming when we arrived. She helped us check in and get our room at 12pm which was excellent after driving for 3 hours. Room was warm, modern and clean with all the amenities. We ordered breakfast(room service) through the online ordering system which was slightly confusing ie it didn’t allow me to select only 1 person. Also, I didn’t realise that for the Scottish breakfast you would need to select toast from the Continental selection in order to get it. However, was pleasantly surprised that one of the ladies from the restaurant brought up to my room some toast and pastries. Only thing to improve on for the hotel is the coffee was very weak. I would recommend staying at the hotel. Love the grounds and the “castle” stately home look of the hotel.

GGuest UserSolo visit as visiting the city, Edinburgh always been on my ”bucket” list and this hotel is just a gem! Not a 5 star building but most definitely a 5 star experience. I was met by Anthony who checked me in promptly and efficiently, he was very informative and helped me with a few tourist things. My room was perfectly fine, a little dated but nothing drastic. Breakfast perfectly cooked and everything you could have wanted, loved the porridge. I will be back again!

RRikinnGood location and close to Waverley station (around 8-9 mins) Bars, Eateries and a Sainsbury is nearby too - Hotel doesnt provide bottled water or toiletries (although on my request i was provided cotton buds and shower cap) The hotel is beginning to age and needs urgent refurbish - we went during summers so needed Air Conditioning at night - with the constant Air con noise - i did not have a good night sleep, had to change my room next day which the staff helped immediately however even in the new room same air con noise issue. If the facilities and rooms are refurbished then would return. Overall decent stay

BBrian PYYotel Edinburgh Hotel location is good to go around Edinburgh city on foot. The room size is small but reasonable for two people, we have enough space for two baggages. The hotel staff is very robotic like every time I said hi they all reply hi, but once I asked them e.g. there is no milk in the common area for coffee maker, she had a poker face and just went to get milk by not saying anything. It made me wondering did not say something wrong.

GGuest UserWell located and staff helpful both during our visit and via email leading up to it. Hotel is off the beaten track and was quiet so no outside noise to speak of. Room we were allocated was just about ok size wise, older style furnishings and was ok, very clean though as was the bathroom which again was ok. Breakfast had plenty of choice but server appeared to be under pressure with the amount of people as the times had been shortened to only 2 hours available, 7am to 9am - I assume to accommodate the larger party who were getting theirs at 10am. As a result our breakfast felt rushed , no toast or drink refills. Not a great problem at breakfast but don't really want to be rushing breakfast after a night out in Edinburgh. In summary for the price paid, excellent location and good staff, decor is dated but clean and adequate, would I return ? yes if the prices was more competitive.

We were a little apprehensive about this place after reading some of the reviews, but in the end, we had no problems or dramas. The instructions to gain access and collect the keyword simple and straightforward and happily everything worked. The room was perfectly clean, as was the bedding and towels.the water was always warm, although the cistern did take its time to fill. It took us a day to realise that if we needed clean cups or glasses and extra coffee tea and milk to just help ourselves from the lounge and leave our mucky cups in the tray there. As it is a double room having two proper chairs would have been nice. It is in a really nice area with rail bus and tram links to all parts of the city, although we mainly walked, taking about 30 minutes to get to the middle of Princes St. At the price we paid we would happily return.
