Edinburgh Hotels with Wifi

The hotel was conveniently located about 20 minutes from the airport by tram and about 15 minutes from Edinburgh Waverley by train. There is a large outlet mall with big supermarket names (Tesco, Aldi, etc) about 10 minutes away. Quite a convenient place to stay for a couple of days! Staff were really helpful and friendly. The bed was comfortable and the room was very quiet. Really enjoyed my stay at this hotel!

Here's a breakdown of my experience: 1. **Great Location!** It took me about 15 minutes to walk to the Mount Royal Hotel Edinburgh by The Unlimited Collection from the Edinburgh train station with my luggage. It would be even quicker without bags. 2. **Fantastic Views!** From the restaurant window, you can see a large monument, and in the distance, ancient castles and mountains. It was truly delightful. (Image) 3. **Convenient Transportation!** The Mount Royal Hotel Edinburgh by The Unlimited Collection is located on the famous Princes Street, and it's a short walk to Edinburgh Castle, less than a kilometer away. (Image of hotel exterior) 4. **Healthy and Abundant Breakfast.** (Image) 5. **Unique Restaurant Decor!** I loved the large plates in the restaurant with their decorative dots – a very distinctive touch! (Image) 6. **Spacious Room!** My room had one super-king bed and one single bed.

The room isn't very big, and the location is a bit far from Edinburgh Waverley Station. It's a bit of a walk with luggage, but still acceptable. It's not far from the bus station, which is convenient for taking day tour buses. The service was good; they proactively arranged two room changes for us. The pillows weren't comfortable, so I slept a bit restlessly. Overall, it's still pretty good.

Although the hotel isn't in the city center, it's still quite convenient for getting around, with several bus lines terminating nearby. The convenience stores are very welcoming to Chinese visitors, and the mall across the street is handy, even offering Chinese food to satisfy our 'Chinese stomachs'. The service was excellent; the front desk staff, especially one handsome gentleman, was warm and friendly, even remembering guests who had checked in before. 👍 Breakfast was a standard, decent English breakfast – clean and hygienic.

The hotel is a 15-minute walk from Princes Street and just a 3-minute walk from the bus stop. It's a tall Victorian house with both a bathtub and a shower. The front desk staff were very friendly and offered free luggage storage. They also provided complimentary fruit, coffee, and shortbread cookies at the front desk.

The Hotel has modern decor, a nice atmosphere, and is neat and clean. The room is a bit small, but it's comfortable and ok for a short stay. It's well decorated and tidy. It's a bit far from the center, about a 20-minute walk, but it's very convenient to travel by the tram, which stops in front of the hotel, only 5 mins reach the center. There's only 1 tram in the city. If you come by train, getting off at Waverley Station, you walk to the Waverley Market, the Princess Street exit, and you can get on the tram to the hotel, getting off at the Haymarket stop, very very convenient. As I'm Thai, I met a Thai staff member at the reception, and he's very nice, friendly, and helpful. I will certainly come back to stay here if I come to Edinburgh again. Edinburgh is so beautiful, like a fairy tale.

Excellent Location, but Serious Security Lapses I recently stayed at this hotel and found it to be a bit of a mixed bag. While there are some undeniable perks to the property, a few significant service and security issues made for a rather unsettling experience. The Highlights Prime Location: This is easily the hotel's strongest suit. It’s situated right next to Haymarket station, and there is a bus stop literally just outside the front door. Getting into the city centre takes no more than 10 minutes, making it a perfect base for exploring. Commendable Service: The reception team provided a decent welcome. I’d like to give a special mention to Shreyas, who was incredibly helpful and professional throughout our interactions. Quality Dining: We ate at the on-site restaurant and were pleasantly surprised. The food was of a high standard, and the waitstaff were attentive and friendly. Room Maintenance & Tech Issues Unfortunately, the shine started to wear off once we settled into the room: Housekeeping Oversights: Despite this being a multi-day stay, the complimentary water bottles were never replaced after the first day. Faulty Tech: The in-room tablet was practically useless. It kept restarting due to a battery fault; ironically, it even cut out while I was trying to use it to contact reception. Privacy Concerns: When we requested extra toilet roll, the staff member who delivered it attempted to walk straight into the room using their key, rather than knocking and waiting for us to answer. It was a complete breach of basic hospitality etiquette. A Major Security Concern The most distressing part of the trip occurred on our second day. Upon returning to our room in the evening, we were shocked to find the main door open. It appears the cleaning staff had failed to secure the door after finishing their rounds. Finding your hotel room left open to the public is, quite frankly, scary. It’s a massive security fail that overshadowed the rest of the stay. While the location is brilliant, the hotel desperately needs to tighten up its staff training and safety protocols. Would I stay again? Only if I were certain that the security and maintenance issues had been addressed.

It was easy to find the location, next to high street(main Street in the center) the room was in a 6 bed instead of 8 beds female room, so it was even better, bathroom and toilet in the room is more convenient as you share with less people .the people at the reception were also very polite, check in was done easily. There is a kitchen in the ground floor with seating area, a bar , in the kitchen you can also cook with plates, cutlery, cooking pots, everything you need Can recommend and have booked it again! There is also breakfast but I didn't have it as I cooked my own.

Fantastic experience! I stayed in a 10-person room, which was very spacious, and the bathrooms and toilets were all very clean! The staff provided excellent service, and I was able to store my luggage both before and after check-in. They even noticed it was my birthday and gave me a voucher! 🥰 Plus, the breakfast was great! Overall, a wonderful experience 🫶
