"Clare Country Club is a good option to stay at in Clare Valley even if you are not a golfer. It is a short drive from the heart of Clare town which has several good dining options such as The Bentleys Hotel which has a decent pub, dine-in restaurant and a bottle shop. The Antidote restaurant in Clare is a popular choice serving fusion cuisine. The wineries and cellar doors of Clare Valley are all within close proximity. Rooms look out onto lawns and have outdoor tables and chairs to enjoy your morning coffee. The hotel does not serve dinner on Sundays. A small bottle of wine, chocolates and crisps are provided complimentary. Parking is free and close to the rooms which makes it easy to load/unload luggage."

"Have just had 2 nights there and had a very relaxing time. The cabins are very comfortable and the sauna is great. Everything is supplied so you don't really have to take much with you. The location is quite peaceful and quiet. Once all the trees grow up (( they have only just been planted) it will be even more secluded. The only minor complaints would be the beds are slightly harder than expected and the coffee mugs have no handles on them, making them too hot to hold for really hot beverages. It would have been nice to have had steak knives as well ( but now I'm being picky). Overall I would recommend it and we will be going back at some stage."

"The Louise remains an enchanting and comfortable retreat ideal for couples seeking privacy and vineyard immersion. Its villa-style suites are luxurious, and the setting is picture-perfect. However, it's not for the feint of wallet and while the fundamentals are superb, the experience stops just short of the ultra-luxury benchmark set by the group’s top lodges, particularly when it comes to culinary consistency and meticulous attention to those critical final 1% details for example dining-room windows have a cracking vineyard panorama but could do with a clean. For a relaxing Barossa getaway with style and comfort, The Louise is a strong choice — a few small tweaks would lift it from very good to truly exceptional."

"I don't understand why there is not a 12-month waiting list to get accommodation at this amazing bed and breakfast. Honestly the photos do not do justice to how incredible this Bed and Breakfast is, and my fiancé and I are so excited as we have found an absolute gem of a place to host our wedding weekend. The host is incredibly warm and inviting. The suites are a credit to his skills in retaining the heritage of Australiana in bygone years while providing the modern comforts we expect. The price is extremely reasonable considering the quality breakfast provisions and all amenities. So many little personal touches and thoughtful elements make this such an inviting place to stay and come back to over and over again. Thanks for an amazing stay, looking forward to getting back there."
