"We are 2 females. On check, there was a lady at reception and a man on the other side of the counter; he was just hanging around, talking with her. She had a cigarette on the counter top of reception (no lite yet) obviously waiting to go on break but on check in she just left it on the top like it was an ornament 🙄. She checked me and my daughter in and could tell from the off set I had disturged her conversation she was having with the man hanging around, she proceeded to tell us our key number so the man could hear and to be honest with all the news regarding travelodge saying door numbers aloud so men can hear where there will be females only staying this put me on edge straight away. The room was comfy as its cheap and cheerful you get what you pay for and breakfast literally is just pop downstairs and make your ceriel and toast and have a drink. But overall was nice for the 1 night. Overall it's fine but the lady that was on reception and leaving a cigarette in the counter top and then saying out loud our door number really needs to be made aware of safety issues and conduct"

The Hunt Lodge

"The room was ok for the money, except the most revolting smokers balcony right outside my upstairs room. Got woken at 8.00 am by someone outside smoking and coughing a revolting smokers cough. He left the door open so the smell and cold going all the way up corridor. This could not be more revolting. Get the smokers in the car park and right away from the place. There was also a full ashtray on the table outside all night, so it’s not even tidied up. Honestly just gross. I’m definitely not the clientele you are trying to attract. The room is tired but comfortable, and it was cheap."

The Dukes

"Just arrived back from a weekend away. Will definitely be returning here, it ticked every box we could've asked for and more. Check in was straight forward and easy, mainly due to Sarah and how welcoming she made us feel. The rooms maybe small but perfect for what we wanted; somewhere to rest our heads for the night to go out exploring. (size similar to the accommodation they provide you at Butlins, you dont want the room too big as you only really use it to sleep at night) However, with that being said, i thought the rooms were fantastic regardless. Outstanding value for money and centrally located for many things to do (local market, Woburn safari, MK Dons football, Bletchley Park) Everything in the room was clean and looked brand new. Complimentary tea, coffee, fresh milk, biscuits, pain au chocolat and fruit on arrival as well was a nice touch. There is ample car parking available at no extra cost. You can also have a drink outside your room, lovely if its a nice sunny summers day. The room was adjacent to the pub itself. The pub had a lovely warm family feel to it. We had dinner and breakfast and both were perfect, cooked to order. The place allowed us to relax with a drink in the evening in front of the fireplace whilst doing some general knowledge quiz with some of the games they had out to share whilst others played darts. The hostess Sarah was very friendly and easily approachable to have a conversation with. All in all, everything was perfect from start to finish, not one negative i could say about this place. Dogs and Children welcome if applicable but i'd thoroughly recommend this place for a couples weekend away."
