"Last week stayed for three nights. Location is excellent, very close to the bus station and 300m from Leukerbad Therme which is the best choice these days. Alpentherme up the hill is still working but gets lots of complaints about service. Dala hotel is kind of old-fashioned place but everything in the room was functional and acceptable pricewise. The only thing I did not like was unstable wi-fi in the room. Decent and nutritional breakfast. Manuela managing the hotel was very friendly and helpful in explaining where to go around the town. I recommend staying there."

"Great value for the price. It’s a very well-kept place with cozy interiors dating back to the nineties, when “Swiss quality” really meant a difference. The staff is welcoming and friendly. Although the breakfast starts somewhat late for a hotel in Switzerland (after 8:00) you’ll get to enjoy your traditional morning meal in a beautiful restaurant room with views of the Alpine panorama. A great choice we made for our trip in early March, where we made the winter walk from Sunnbüel (Kandersteg) to Gemmi (Leukerbad)."

"Truly amazing! If you have an Indy Pass and are coming to ski Leukerbad, this is the place to stay. We came with our three kids and felt completely at home. The owners are incredibly friendly and attentive to your every need. The location is perfect. The ski tram is a short walk away and you can ski right back to the hotel (the trail down goes through a tunnel!). Then you can enjoy some of their mulled wine at the Apres ski bar outside. The food at the restaurant is delicious and the best in town. Can’t say enough good things…one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at!"

"I don't normally leave a review but we had such a poor experience that has not been addressed, I felt I wanted to warn other people staying. Our room was lovely and the receptionist was great. However, no hotel management are on the premises from 5.30pm. This caused an issue, as some extremely drunk people were remotely let into a room at 11.30pm at night and made such an unpleasant & disturbing noise that we could not sleep. One family had small children near the room and were on the verge of calling the police as the noise was so disturbing. In the morning we raised our concerns and the receptionist also said the drunken men had been calling her until 1.30pm in a drunken state until she asked them to stop. However, we have had no further contact from the owner and as they had our card details, the full amount has been taken out with no form of compensation. It let me feeling very concerned that people staying in the hotel are left quite vulnerable."

"The hotel is clean but dated. The breakfast is not bad and staff provided all the facts upon checkin. That's about all the good things I can say for chf186 per night ( one of the most expensive hotel during our month long europe trip) I originally wanted to book another hotel which provided hotspring in the hotel, but it was booked out. So I booked Hotel Dala assuming I've paid more for the hotel to enjoy quick dips in the hotel thermal pool at night as shown in the photos on tripadvisor, my room will be modern like the photos and we can enjoy the long list of hotel facilities. How wrong was I?! The thermal belongs to Leuketbad thermal which costs chf20+ per person for 3 hours. (Lovely but not cheap) The hotel facilities all located in a sad dimly lit room with everything right next to each other. The sauna closes at 7pm, so beware of your dinner time. The use of kitchenette costs additional chf40? (can't remember the cost but that's too expensive for a cup of warm tea) Our room was dated, nothing like the older tripadvisor photos. The mattress sheets are not comfortable as they have tiny cotton lumps from over washing. It's my fault that I didn't do my research but I just want future travellers to be better informed."

"Lovely, calm place to relax.Within walking distance from the bus station so easy to get to by public transport. I had a lovely room with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was very good and staff were so friendly and helpful, I felt less awkward than I usually do as a solo traveller. Cleaning staff were also very friendly and helpful. Indoor and outdoor pool are great for a gentle swim ,and bathrobe, slippers and towel are all ready waiting for you in your room. A great place for a getaway break."

"Hotel The room and the entire hotel clearly show their age. The decor is uninviting and lacks any discernible charm. We were particularly struck by the feeling of being in a building with hardly any staff present, giving it an almost uninhabited feel. Overall, this left a rather cold and impersonal impression. Breakfast: The coffee and the braided bread were good. The juices were from a carton, the pineapple from a can and not replenished. The rolls were pre-baked. There were various Kellogg's cereals. No healthy muesli. Breakfast was served in the pizzeria, and leftover pasta from the previous evening was also offered. The rock music didn't suit a cozy breakfast atmosphere, in our opinion. Overall, we see significant room for improvement at breakfast, especially regarding freshness and ambiance. Alpenrherme is of a rather low standard."
