There are hotels and there are hotels, some are memorable and others aren't. "Ideal location on the harbor waterfront, can’t be more centrally located. Made for a gorgeous view for breakfast, which has a vast variety to satisfy every European or North American palette. The gym is well equipped and the view while working out over the rooftop gardens of Lindau is special. Weather was too hot to experience the rooftop saunas and hot tubs, which look fabulous. Will definitely return."

"We arrived late in the evening for our stay at the hotel, we had previously arranged with reception to pick up our room keycard from a machine outside the hotel as the entrance is not staffed 24 hours. This all worked as planned and we were able to access our room with no assistance. There is some parking outside the hotel, or a multi-storey 5 minutes walk away for more space. The room was small but comfortable, the bathroom was more spacious, but I think that's because we had been given an "accessible" room despite not needing it! Breakfast was included, and was standard German fare, although a second coffee/juice machine would have been helpful as there was often a queue. Overall, a standard 3* hotel in a great spot for exploring Lindau."

"Overall, the house makes a pretty good impression. Unfortunately, we were not informed about the Deutsche Bahn construction work before we arrived, and there was constant noise during the day. The room in the attic is sufficient, but very small. Staff very friendly. Good breakfast and home-style food in the restaurant. For the return journey we asked for some coffee for the thermos, it was supposed to cost €10, and we have never been charged anything for this request. Coffee was significantly cheaper at the bakery a few meters away."

"This is a newish, small family-run hotel right at the entrance to historic Lindau island. It is on the tip of the island of Lindau, closest to land. In a nice and quiet area of town. Great location. The building is an old historic part of the Old Town, although the hotel is much newer. That is why the building has more charm than the rooms do I suppose. There is no lift, just stairs, and only 3 rooms I think per floor. Our room was Ikea-plain and functional. Nothing fancy and not a lot of character on the inside. We had a window with a view over the park and parking lot on the 'mainland.' The shower was just a small stall with slow hot water and a fast floor. They have no parking on-site, but there is a public (pay) lot just across the bridge from the hotel, and about 2 blocks' walk. Note that a 'hotel garni', is not just a hotel. It means a smaller, less expensive and more casual place of lodging. It also means that it has rooms and no on-site reastaurant. They do have a little living room abutting the front desk with a couple of tables where they serve a modest continental breakfast, which is extra from the base room rate. It's a nice little hotel room, I'll say. I enjoyed it for a one night stay, although I'm not sure I'd do a much longer stay."
