"Spacious room, large comfortable bed, large bath, modern decoration, and spotlessly clean. Ample parking. And best of all, a fantastic full English breakfast that is second to none. A great place to stay in a beautiful part of the country."

"Fantastic location, room very clean and great floral decoration appealed to my partner. Parking was limited but worked out for me perfectly, only comment some people don’t park considerately, but understandable if not english drivers. Food is excellent, service is amazing, thank you for great stay!!"

"Since there is a bar downstairs, still can hear people talking at night, but acceptable as it is quiet after midnight. The breakfast is good and service is excellent."

📍 Station St, Lymington

"We had very high expectations because the website and service we were given over the phone. We arrived but front doors were locked. We waited 10 minutes and the guy eventually turned up and let us in. We booked their best room with lovely en-suite and were shown to the room....it wasn't en-suite...you had to come out of your bedroom door and enter a door on the right which was your private bathroom but right opposite our bedroom door is his office, so there was NO chance of me walking between rooms in a towel with him sitting in his office right opposite. Was VERY annoyed as this had been advertised as an en-suite hence why we booked it. We asked for a different room and were shown to another, it was ok, very very dusty and not cleaned properly, shower room (with no bath) was small enough to wash a hamster in....not happy. At breakfast, we all had to sit around a huge table with other guests, this is lovely if you liked that sort of thing, but we had come away from a nice romantic weekend for my birthday and didn't get the choice of sitting on our own as a couple if we wanted to. The breakfast was nice but you could only have what he was serving. Grilled breakfast, toast, cereal, fruit. One elderly gentleman on our table asked if he could have a boiled egg instead and was told no. He asked again and got them. Not very good customer service. The guy couldn't be found again when we wanted to check out....another wait.......Sorry, but I definitely wouldn't stay here again...."

Highfield Bed & Breakfast ★★★
"This is top rate accommodation. The hosts Maria and Fraser are super people that welcome you warmly. The rooms are large and clean, with a well appointed en-suite bathroom. All of the fittings are modern and of high quality. The breakfast was really good and tasty. It will keep any well built man satisfied until mid-afternoon. The free parking was an added bonus. You do not need to stay anywhere else when in Lymington"

"This is based on the room I slept in, the Courtyard Room. It was a very strange musty smelling room stuffed with random objects and tassels hanging from the walls. Very creepy and it just felt dirty. The en-suite was the smallest I've ever seen with barely enough room to move around, with the tinest ever washbasin. There is absolutely no way that it deserves its 5 star status. I'm sure the other rooms are presented better so if you are booking this B&B, do NOT book the Courtyard Room! We had originally booked a different room in the other building but Tobi decided to put us in this room without informing us (we are deaf so he felt we needed a quieter room and that we may have the tv on 'very loud' ?!) The penny didnt drop after he left and then we realised it wasnt the room we had booked. The breakfast was grand I have to say but after a sleepless night on terrible mattresses that dipped in the middle, we decided to leave immediately (should have been 3 night stay) and book into a nice modern clean establishment. Tobi needs to fumigate the Courtyard Room, reduce the clutter, buy new mattresses and think about how to improve the en-suite. Also room doesn't feel safe as its on the ground floor, right next to the courtyard door that leads out to the street, so I couldn't open the window to counteract the smell."
