"My son and I stayed at Alpenresort Thanner on Sylvester, until 7th January 2024. We booked the GF studio and from the start up to the end it was just a pleasure to communicate with Peter, who alos gave us lots of tips about local places. The house is very warm and it has modern appliances. It is located just two min away from the Penken lift and shops and bars. We will be back!"

"What a glorious place, it met all our expectations and we had the most relaxing break. We will definitely want to return, the Austrian scenery is second to none and it’s a beautiful country we have visited many times and will continue to do so! Thank for for a wonderful stay!"

"We arrived late in Mayrhofen, I'd say too late for dinner—it must have been 9 p.m. Not knowing where to go, we looked around, and this hotel restaurant seemed nice. We went in, and the waiter greeted us after asking if it was possible to have dinner. We ordered, and he brought us four beers first, followed by the goulash. I don't know who or how he made it, but it tasted like it was canned. Then he served us the four dishes we'd ordered (sausages, meats in sauce, potatoes with pork), which were decidedly poorly served and of dubious quality (service station fare). Along with these, he brought the cash machine to collect the money because he had to close up and go home. We were stunned, paid, and started eating. Not even five minutes later, we got up and asked for coffee or dessert, and this rude man said, "Now I don't speak English anymore (his terrible English), now I speak German! And I've finished my coffee. Good evening!" All this without anything having happened. He was simply annoyed by our late arrival! I wonder if certain people are allowed to be in the audience! Absolutely awful."

"Our group stayed here last week from 4th - 11th Jan. Unfortunately our excitement came to an end when we arrived at the hotel and was greeted by Mike in the wooly hat, who must be the most miserable rude guy in Austria! The hotel and breakfast was good by the cleaning staff and kitchen staff. Just a shame this guy ruined it. Also had a bad experience one night when at Mike's bar before heading out for the night. My brother went outside on his phone and while the rest of us were talking, someone took my brothers coat. Once my brother came back he noticed his coat missing, so we asked the bar staff and Mike who gave themselves away by lying and blaming other guests. Eventually as the night went on we demanded to see the CCTV and the Irish bar staff said that she knew who had it and would get it back. It's funny how it was hung on the outside of our room door handle at the end of the bar staff shift. I believe they have a little money making scheme on the side. The location was pleasant and the snowboarding on the mountain was good fun. Be careful if you think about staying here as Miserable Mike & the Irish Bar Staff will rob you blind and put a downer on the holiday experience. Just as we were leaving another guy turned up who looked as if he worked at the hotel, who was very pleasant and full of beans. I wish we would of had him greet us all week, it may of been very different."

"The new building with the spa area is really beautiful... because it's very spacious, guests are spread out well, so it's pleasantly quiet everywhere... The food looks very good, but the taste is average. The service is really hit and miss. On the first day, a very friendly and attentive waitress, but on the second day, unfortunately, the complete opposite. The rooms are okay; the older part is quite dated, but clean."

"We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Hotel Neue Post in Mayrhofen and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. The hotel is perfectly located right in the center of the village, making it easy to access restaurants, shops, and outdoor activities. Our room was modern, newly renovated, and exceptionally clean and comfortable. The food was outstanding throughout our stay. The breakfast buffet offered a fantastic selection with something for everyone, and the evening dinners were of a very high standard, with delicious and varied dishes every night. Another highlight was the beautiful rooftop pool and sun terrace. After long and active days of mountain biking and hiking in the mountains, it was the perfect place to relax and unwind. The comfortable sun loungers, the peaceful atmosphere, and the stunning views of the surrounding mountains made it our favorite spot for an afternoon break. What truly made our stay special was the incredible staff. Everyone was warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly. No matter what we needed, they were always happy to help and made us feel valued as guests from the moment we arrived until the day we left. The service on our departure day was exceptional. We spent our last day mountain biking and hiking before an evening flight home. The hotel kindly allowed us to store our luggage in their baggage room during the day, and when we returned, we were able to use their fantastic spa and wellness area to shower and freshen up before heading to the airport. After a full day of outdoor activities, this was greatly appreciated and meant we could travel home feeling comfortable and refreshed instead of tired and sweaty. A big thank you to the entire team at Hotel Neue Post for making our stay so memorable. We will definitely be back on our next trip to Mayrhofen."

"We booked this hotel with half board through Inghams for our ski trip. The hotel itself was fine, our rooms were a little tired but the spa area was great. The problem started at dinner on the Sunday night. The hotel wasn't busy for half board maybe around 12-14 tables but everything seemed disorganised. We ordered a round of drinks, these took around 30 minutes to arrive, our starters took forever to come and they came to take our plates away and advised that they would bring our mains out, the problem being no one had take our order for our main meal. We ordered our mains and they came out relatively quick. Three of us ordered veal, this was over done and cut like a door stop and one of the group had spaghetti, this had clearly been sitting under a hot lamp as it had gone crispy. At the end of the meal, we were asked how our meal was and we gave our opinion and the staff member didn't say anything and just walked away. We left to go to our rooms, 2 of our group went outside for some air and were accosted by the female owner on the way in, asking them how dare they say that the food was overdone and is not 4 star and that we should find somewhere else to stay for the rest of our trip! I don't know if she was stressed regarding something else or just took a dislike to us but this was the end of the relationship with the hotel and we moved to a lovely hotel round the corner the next day."

"This place is a true gem situated 1 min from Mayrhofen HBF station and 80 mtrs from the ski buses which cover the Zillertal area. The owners and staff are a great team who can’t do enough to make your stay such a great experience. The place is immaculate and the gym and sauna are an added bonus. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious and set us up for a day on the slopes. They have various types of accommodation from couples to large families and some with self catering facilities. We loved this place and will definitely recommend it to anyone. Excellent, thank you the Moigg family🍺"

"We ended at Gut Stiluppe by chance and let me tell you it has been one of the best experiences we've ever had! The staff was superb and very helpful, food was delicious and the room was just on point. We also visited the pool and sauna area and it looked like a 5 star spa. We really had a great time at Gut Stiluppe and we are planning to go back."
