Great National Hamlet Court Hotel ★★★
"We arrived at 1.30 pm however the lady on reception was really accommodating and gave us Room 210 even though our assigned room was not ready. The staff were extremely courteous and friendly throughout our stay. The beds were so comfortable, toiletries were Rituals products which was a lovely touch. Finally the breakfast was amazing, great variety for all dietary requirements, the chef and waitress even found time to greet us and chat for a bit. We would definitely have no hesitation in staying here again. Thanks to all.."

Lough Bawn House
"A little piece of heaven in the Westmeath countryside. From the moment you arrive you are transported back to a kinder and gentler time. We arrived on a rainy Fall day but the scenery couldn’t have been more beautiful. The view of the lake over the rolling hills and countless white sheep is spectacular. We were met at the front door by the owner, Verity and one or her two dogs Nutmeg. Verity informed us that we would have the house to ourselves that night and led us to the Copper Beech room our lovely accommodation for the night. Verity invited us to get settled and then join her down stairs. A wonderfully gracious host, she served us hot tea and fresh baked lemon cake in front of a warm fire in the sitting room. While there, she made several dinner suggestions and gave us a key to the house so that we could come and go as we please. We took a walk through the grounds, walking amongst the sheep and marveling at the beautiful vistas. Our room was spotlessly clean and bright with a wonderful king bed and soaking tub. The next morning we had a traditional breakfast in the dining room at a beautifully decorated table looking across the fields at the lake. Breakfast was perfect and we spent some time getting to know our host. What a gem! The whole experience was magical and we will surely be back!"
The Station House Hotel
"Unfortunately my wife and I were only able to stay one night but it was a lovely experience. The hotel and the grounds are wonderful, the room was quaint with even a dial telephone. The restaurant was closed the night we were there so we ate on the terrace. The food was great and the breakfast was excellent. Staff are very friendly and efficient. Recommended."
