"Lovely location facing the port and 5 minutes from two lovely sandy beaches on the basin which are safe for children as they are shallow for some distance out, no waves and warm salt water. Wide range of restaurants adjacent to the hotel and only 5 minutes walk to the town centre and square where there is an indoor market, boulangeries, other shops, bars and restaurants. Friendly, very helpful staff at the hotel. Comprehensive Continental breakfast plus scrambled egg and bacon included in room rate, so good value. Not a full restaurant - it serves Tapas and sharing platters up to 8.30pm. Very popular all day for drinks, snacks and desserts. Attractively modernised, especially on the ground floor. Good sized room with comfortable bed, it's a shame the renovations didn't include putting a sink in the cabinet toilet - there was room for a small one. We were very glad to have aircon as it was very hot when we stayed. The shower room smelled of drains for the two days we stayed and didn't have an extractor or openable window. There is no lift and our room was up 4 flights of stairs - not a problem for us but something to consider for those with limited mobility. There is no parking at the hotel but there is a large free public car park 5 minutes walk away. However, parking is limited to 24 hours maximum and prohibited if there is a market or event taking place on the site. At peak season it could be difficult to find parking."
