Eliassen Rorbuer ★★★
"I booked a stay for the night of May 22nd. It was raining heavily all day, and we arrived at the hotel in the afternoon. The hotel only provided a phone number via email and no other contact information. Due to the torrential rain, strong winds, and static on the phone, communication was difficult. We had to wander around the hotel buildings in the wind and rain looking for a reception area. Unable to find it, I called the hotel again, and a garbled voice on the phone kept asking for a code. In desperation, I pulled out my booking confirmation and provided the confirmation number and PINM code, but the voice kept asking for a code. Feeling utterly helpless, I looked up and saw a small, white three-story building in front of me. Suddenly, something clicked. I immediately asked, 'Is it that small white building?' A 'Yes' immediately came through on the phone. We went to the reception on the second floor of the small white building, where a thin woman in her thirties was alone at the desk. She stepped out for a moment while processing our check-in. I looked around the room and saw a large glass window to her left. I walked over and stood where she had been, looking out the window, and was instantly filled with anger. From her vantage point, she could clearly see me standing about 7-8 meters below her window in the pouring rain, repeatedly calling her, yet she never told me to come up. I controlled my temper, completed the check-in, and went to my room. Even with an umbrella, I, and my backpack, were completely soaked. A moment later, my phone beeped insistently. I opened my email and saw that it was the hotel sending the door code for our room. Reflecting on it later, she either neglected her duty by not sending me the door code on time, or she deliberately enjoyed watching me struggle in the rain. While the hotel's facilities are good, the quality of the reception staff is terrible!!!"
Catogården ★★
"Had a really nice kayak trip through Catogarden last month that took us out to view the beautiful Reinefjord and experience a truly magical place on this planet. Our guide Janetta was very knowledgeable, patient and personable during the trip. We were lucky enough to get some sun come out during our trip which makes such a difference to the view around you. Would definitely recommend going on one of these trips when visiting Reine/Lofoten Islands and even staying at the B&B which is beautifully decorated and has a nice homey feel."
The Tide - Hotel ★★★★
"The hotel was clean, but the rooms were a bit small. The breakfast was pretty good, the view from the window was beautiful, the restaurant had a good view, the parking lot was large, and it was very close to Reine and Auertown."
Å Rorbuer - by Classic Norway Hotels ★★★
"Staying at a rorbuer hotel in Norway was an unforgettable experience. These charming cabins, originally used by fishermen, have been beautifully refurbished to offer modern comforts while preserving their authentic character."
Reine Rorbuer - by Classic Norway Hotels ★★★
"The cabin was a bit old, but the environment was really nice."
Brygga Restaurant and Rooms ★★★
"Very beautiful place!"
The Tide - Rorbuer ★★★
"There were unclean pots, and heater was not enough to warm up the place. Contacted the owner via platform but no reply. Other than that, everything was average."
Lofoten Bed & Breakfast Reine - Rooms & Apartments ★★★
"A fantastic place to stay! It is centrally located in Reine and I had a nice apartment. The included breakfast is simple but very nice and the host and the staff are very friendly, nice and always up for a talk. It’s not a question if I am returning, it’s a question of when :-)"
Sørvågen Inn ★★
"We decided to book this despite some poor recent reviews as it was in the right location for us being right near the ferry port in Moskenes. It is in a great location, in a small village set around a harbour, off the main road and a couple of small supermarkets nearby. Even though the staff that gave us the key also gave us directions to the building “with the blue door”, it was hard to find as it isn’t signposted and you can’t see the building front door from the road. Follow the sign to the tanning studio. Aside from that, the room was a work in progress. We found the bed, bedding and furnishings to be good, but the light fittings and bathroom old and unrenovated. The curtain rail in the bedroom wasn’t fitted correctly and fell off when we moved the curtains but on the whole, the room was clean, didn’t smell, there was no mould in the bathroom and we got a good nights sleep. There is a small communal kitchen but it’s untidy and badly organised right by the front door so people are constantly passing through. OK for making a coffee or having cereal. A reasonable stay, especially for the great location."
