The Albert Mosman
"Small boutique style hotel. Clean and well maintained. Seems like every detail is well thought out. However, we had a strange experience the first night coming in to check in, there was no one at the reception and we had to wait. While our wait fire alarm asked us to evacuate immediately. It was a false alarm, but we had to wait for the fire department to clear re entry. After the check in we settled into our conner room on the 4th floor, we didn’t experience any noise from upstairs or any other neighbors, just some times could hear talking people in the lobby, because its an older building with an open concept floor plan. We didn’t have much of a view from our window, just a brick wall of another building. And the central ac, you have to ask front desk to turn on. Other than that, loved their bathroom tile work, simplicity and minimalism of the room design."
Wildlife Retreat at Taronga
"The room isn't huge, but the best part is being able to see koalas! Our room, number 142, had three koalas right outside! It was such a pleasant surprise to watch them climb trees, even though they mostly just slept! The hotel also offers morning walks, night walks, and sanctuary tours that you can book at various times – all quite engaging! My 6-year-old loved it and learned a lot, provided you have a good enough grasp of English to understand most of it. She was so happy and really enjoyed this hotel. We spent two days at the zoo, and as guests, we had a pass for unlimited entry. Plus, there's a 20% discount on the Wild Ropes course next to the main gate – it was such a thrilling jungle adventure! My daughter's Junior ticket was only 21 AUD for an hour and a half of fun! The front desk and restaurant both offer unbeatable views of the Opera House and the Bridge when the weather is good!"

Roar and Snore at Taronga Zoo Sydney
"It was great! Even though I only understood a little English and it was raining, I still enjoyed myself. The animals were sleeping and the zoo was empty early in the morning, which felt special. But be careful, there are no hair dryers! I was very satisfied with the dingoes, platypuses, wombats and Tasmanian devils in the zoo."
Ballantyne at Mosman Apartments
"We stayed here for 2 nights. We were making the booking at the last minute, but were made to jump through hoops by the owner or manager (not sure which). We were calling from Melbourne and have been there before, but were made to provide images of a driver's licence when quoting a credit card number. Why? We weren't coming from overseas and fellow was very cagey about why this was required. Also, there is a 'service fee' of $150 for a 2 night stay - this is pretty ridiculous and bumps the price up to a level not appropriate for this property. I wish we had stayed in a hotel instead as the place is run down and expects you to put on the dishwasher, take out the rubbish, etc., so why are we paying $75 per night when we have to clean ourselves and there is a note that says if you don't put on the dishwasher before leaving you will be charged additional fees!?!?! We were given an incorrect code for the lock box upon checking in so had to call this man again and get a different number! The room is in need of an update. There are spiders living in the windows in the bedroom, the bed is a wooden bed with sharp corners and is placed in a small bedroom so we damaged our legs on these corners many times as the ensuite is in a wardrobe - yes, check the photos online - so you have to squeeze past these sharp corners to get to the ensuite. I would not recommend staying here, especially in Room 4, until the place has a make-over as it seems these people have purchased the business from previous owners and have done nothing in terms of maintenance. Our outside light was not working so you have to walk up stairs in the dark and try to unlock the door, in the dark! Perhaps they could use the $150 we had to pay to actually clean and maintain the place properly."
Amazing Luxury House in Mosman
"The view is great, the landlord is always available to answer questions, the service is excellent, the sanitation is good, and the facilities are complete. 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, the living area is reasonably distributed, suitable for multiple families. If you drive yourself, it is a bit troublesome to get the car out of the garage, which tests your skills. Housing is tight in Sydney, and I am very satisfied to live in such a sea view house."
