★★★ 8.6 (104 reviews)

"The place was filthy and not professional, staff was very rude and ugly aswell as manipulative, I would never stay here again or recommend to anyone, not even my worse enemy deserves to stay in this mess. Never again!"

Hillgrove Hotel, Leisure & Spa

📍 Old Armagh Rd, Monaghan
★★★★ 8.6 (73 reviews)

"Highly recommend Hillgrove Hotel & Spa. Myself, my husband and our two children visit this hotel on an annual basis. This proves, in a nutshell, how truly exceptional this place is. The staff go above and beyond in helping their guests and there are a wide range of facilities available to suit all age groups. A big thank you to Anoja who, as always, made our stay so special."

📍 50 Main St, Ballygawley
★★★ 8.5 (28 reviews)

"This place is amazing, Lovelly wee modern up to date hotel, room was warm and welcoming, decorated beautifully, Lovelly wee touches, filtered water, chocolate, sewing kits, tea making facilities, extremely comfortable bed, In the bar the wines were top class quality and the food was superb, staff were very warm and welcoming. Manager off the hotel was also very helpful and couldn’t do enough!! 5 ⭐️ would highly recommend, can’t wait to visit again,"

Seagoe Hotel

Seagoe Hotel

📍 22 Upper Church Ln, Portadown, Craigavon
★★★★ 8.5 (43 reviews)

"This hotel is well known in Porter Town but not worth the price. The hotel room was very shabby. The hotel does not have slippers and refrigerators. There is some trembling smell, and the air may not be circulated. There are no air conditioners or refrigerators in the entire hotel. The staff said she could turn off the heating for me. I thought it was ridiculous because there was only one heating board in the room. How could she turn off the heating? Finally, she asked me to open the window. Because I live on the underground floor, I am also afraid of mosquitoes when I open the windows, so I can only endure it. Unexpectedly, when I was taking a shower, I found that the shower gel and hair washing water had also been used up without being replenished. Disappointed with hotel service and management."

The Ryandale Inn ★★★★
"Although located in a village, it's right on a major thoroughfare, with buses to Dublin Airport and nearby larger towns. The hotel is clean, tidy, elegant, and comfortable, with a distinctly British feel. Breakfast is a set menu, and you can choose your favorite. The Big Daddy breakfast is an English breakfast, served on a large plate, and comes with coffee and juice. The hotel has a bar and restaurant, open late into the night on weekends. There are also supermarkets and Chinese takeaways nearby."

"Plaster coming off walls, carpet needed replacing, bathroom door wouldn't close properly. Didn't mind the old furniture but the rooms could of been nicer. I won't be staying again."

"Rural hotels are very good for short trips. The restaurant downstairs is also good and is the best place for dining nearby."

Hillgrove Hotel, Leisure & Spa ★★★★
"Our 1st time staying here. Reception area not at all welcoming. All sofas and particularly the black and white striped armchairs very grubby and just wouldn’t sit on them Room basic but very clean Needed to get more pillows ( not a problem following a phone with the lovely receptionist on duty and indeed the household staff) Mattress on the bed not the most comfortable . We had a beautiful treatment each in the spa, lovely area and great pool and gym facilities. Dined in the Bistro, exceptionally great value for money and fantastic food, only issue we had ( had reserved table on line) was there were 4 waitresses at the check in who proceeded to carry on having third own personal conversation in front of us until I asked politely could we be taken to our table. To be honest the only real employee who was doing her job above and beyond was the restaurant manager"

"Flavoursome meal although staff were creative with bill, steak+chips is an extra £6 for chips, chicken curry is +£3 for chicken, bottled tap water is £3.50 per bottle and the early bird special has to be paid for before 6:00 for the £30 price, regardless of what staff tell you"
