"I stayed here specifically to see the puffins; it wasn't cheap. Showers are communal, but you have your own sink for brushing your teeth. The view from the window was nice, especially the spectacular sunsets in summer. The gravel path in front of the entrance made dragging suitcases inconvenient. If you're driving, you might consider staying further out for a cheaper option."

"The hotel was quite spacious, with a private bathroom. An unexpected bonus was its proximity to the puffin haven. We arrived close to 10 pm, and the receptionist patiently waited for us to tell us where we could see puffins, emphasizing that at that time of night you could see thousands. We went without hesitation, and sure enough, there were tons of them! It was so much fun!"

"It is a bit far from the nearest town. The road trip getting there is rather frightening with cliff edge road nearer to the resort. It is located in a quiet town with just one grocery shop that opens only in the afternoon for a few hours. The apartment was well stocked with kitchen facilities and toys for kids. The 2 room apartment has twin room downstairs and double upstairs. Bathromm is next to double room upstairs. The bathroom shower does not drain very well, the kerb does not prevent the water from flowing out of the cubicle. Using the squeegee it takes at least 10 push to drain the water. The main door handle was not tightened properly so we managed to pull it out when we tried to open the door. The mattress was a bit soft from what we are used to. It is near the Borgarfjorour, to watch Puffins, 7 minutes drive. Staff were friendly from check-in staff to restaurant service staff. Try their locally brewed beer."

"Hostel to stay when you are passing through eastern Iceland. Very well-equipped accommodation with several common areas. Clean and comfortable rooms. Poor soundproofing, too much noise, rooms facing the living room. Few showers, on the ground floor the toilets and showers are incorporated which causes people to accumulate."
