LOTTE ARAI RESORT ★★★★★
"The resort is amazing. Facilities are great and clean. We will be coming back ."
HOTEL SOBOKU ★★★
"Second time staying with them for ski trip and quality remains there. Location is central to many slopes"
Super Hotel Arai Niigata ★★★
"The hotel is located right next to the Michi-no-Eki Station interchange. Nearby are Yoshinoya beef donburi, a few simple restaurants, and a Lawson convenience store. A simple buffet breakfast is provided, and there's also a public bath. The rooms are spacious, but the bathrooms are small. The windows are grimy and appear to have never been cleaned. It takes about half an hour to an hour to reach the nearby Myoko Plateau scenic spot."
Lime Resort Myoko ★★★★
"The stay was absolutely comfortable. Good onsen and nice breakfast. Bedding was solid as well. The friendly staffs also assisted with restaurantsreservations too."
Ryokan Okayama ★★★
"My husband and I stayed here for the hot springs. Since there is only one open-air bath on the premises, the open-air bath is open to men and women at different times, so you can't use the open-air bath whenever you like. Also, the indoor baths are very small (there aren't many washing or changing areas), and even though there are about 10 rooms, there aren't enough baths. The rice was certainly delicious, but I felt it was rather expensive. Therefore, it was a low evaluation for me, who was only interested in hot springs. I think it's good for those who prioritize food, but if you're looking for a hot spring, you should look elsewhere."
Hotel Alpen Blick ★★★
"The room is big enough but the bathroom is too small. Heater in room works great but all around hotel is a bit cold. Bad mobile phone and wifi network."
Hotel Route-Inn Myoko Arai ★★★
"The large public bath was a nice touch, and they even had umbrellas to lend when it rained, so they really thought of everything. Even though it was a smoking room, there wasn't much of a tobacco smell, and I had a comfortable stay. My only complaint would be the lack of restaurants within walking distance. Since it was a long weekend, I couldn't get into the nearby places, and had to walk for about 15 minutes in the rain to find somewhere."
Akakura Kanko Hotel ★★★★
"This is my favorite hotel, where I stay multiple nights in the premium building, P3, every spring and fall. I've already booked a room for a year later during my stay. More and more staff members remember us, and I look forward to meeting them. The magnificent views and deep baths in our rooms are appealing. However, this time, I had the most unpleasant experience I've ever had. Even young, inexperienced staff are willing to support us, even if they make mistakes, as long as their efforts are apparent. The restaurant and cafe staff, who had signs saying "in training," spoke fluently but were very mechanical. They didn't look me in the eye and faded out mid-description of the dishes. The worst was lunch at the cafe. When I couldn't decide on a menu item, they pointed toward the register, saying, "Let me know when you've decided." What, they meant to come and let me know? I've never had that experience at a hotel cafe. It wasn't crowded, so why? The hot dishes at the breakfast buffet were cold, and some were sparse and almost nonexistent. The French toast was no longer freshly made. The dirty floor and trash were also a concern. Until now, I'd been satisfied, even paying over ¥300,000 for a three-day, two-night stay. I was wondering whether to cancel my reservation for the fall, but I'm planning to stay there in the hope that things have improved."
Akakura Hotel ★★★
"Great location in the middle of town. Faculties are quite old though. Our area of the hotel had an issue with the boiler so not hot water in our room. Does have a very cool onsen that’s outdoors."

Akakura Wakui Hotel
"The food is delicious, and dinner changes daily. The cable car station is right behind the hotel. All staff members can communicate in English."
Altopiano Myoko
"Location is generally But the host is friendly. Good service attitude"
Kiyoshi Ryokan
"I made a hotel reservation myself, but because the hotel was temporarily undergoing renovations, the hotel had no choice but to arrange for me to stay in another hotel than me. Trip.com customer service was very helpful in helping me solve my questions. In the end, I was able to find a hotel that was close to the ski resort."
Hatsune
Myoko Onsen cottage Ajisai
Lodge Kokuha
"Excellent guesthouse with excellent hosts. Had everything I needed, a room to sleep, a mini bath house, and they served delicious breakfast and dinner. Close to snow resort and shuttle bus service. Would stay again."
APA Hotel and Resort Joetsu Myoko
"The location from the room was very nice"
Hotel Taiko, Akakura Onsen
"The hotel has Onsen, a very good facility. The hotel is very close to the Akakura Onsen Ski Area and within walking distance, only 8 minutes walk"
Soratobu Usagi
"As suggested by Google Maps, it doesn’t matter if you get off the bus early and push up the mountain. However, it turns out that there are no people walking on the nearby road, so it is impossible to get there in the super-thick snow zone. Remember, if you take the bus, you have to get off at a snow resort. Hotel, if it is not so far up the mountain and the driving road is so far, I will die"
Lodge Amenouo
Villa El Cielo Myoko
Hotel Senke
"All in all great experience. The rooms were nice and cozy Japanese styled, with lots of space for all your bags, clothes and what not. Miwa the manager and her family were all really sweet and super helpful! Super nice natural Onsen as well. Location is great; the hotel is on the Main Street in Akakura Onsen. Loads of different restaurants and bars right on the street + a convenient store. 5-10 minute walk to Akakura Onsen ski area. 15-20 minute walk to Kanko ski resort. And buses that take you to other ski resorts and the Myoko-Kogen station. Drying room for all your ski/snowboard gear. Great hotel✨"
