"I arrived at the hotel around 2:10 PM. Since check-in time was from 3 PM, I requested an early check-in, but was told it would cost an extra 1000 yen. I reluctantly waited in the lobby, during which time three staff members were chatting at the front desk. Personally, I wish they had been more flexible. Of course, it would be a different story if the room cleaning wasn't finished yet. Otherwise, there was a large public bath on the first floor, which was available from 3 PM to 2 AM and 5 AM to 10 AM, allowing me to relax. I just wanted to share my own desires."

"Booked this as a side trip from Osaka to escape the city and have some quiet time. Set in a tiny village in the middle of a mountainous & forested area alongside a beautiful river with tons of waterfalls, very picturesque and perfect for walking around. The hotel itself is immaculate with great amenities including large bathing areas. Food was incredible and service was top-notch with staff that were always friendly, helpful and eager to please. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting an authentic Japanese-style onsen hotel in a tranquil setting."

"The room type was different from the one I booked on Ctrip. The hotel reception said it was under renovation but upgraded us anyway. To be honest, I'm not sure if that's true or not. It seemed like because there weren't many guests, they just arranged for everyone to stay in the same building for easier service… However, the hotel service was still very good, and the banquet meal with two meals included in the one-night stay was very plentiful and delicious! The hotel is right next to the entrance of the waterfall scenic area, only a few minutes' walk away, which is very convenient!"
