"Sonar Bangla Mayapur resort is located about 18km away from Mayapur mandir. A part of the approach road from the NH 12 is dirt road then Macadamised. The resort is a well built spacious property with mulple two storied accommodation arranged around a huge swimming pool. It also has a gym. The AC rooms are spacious with view of the pool from the balcony. The 4 bedded rooms have a double bed perched on an elevation which can be reached on 11 wonky steps on which you are liable to fall. In fact one family member did fall and injure himself as well. The hotel is understaffed. It cannot cope with the weekend rush. The room service becomes pitiable at such times. Breakfast service during rush hours is also not up to the mark. The breakfast menu needs revision. Overall , Sonar Bangla Hotel, Mayapur has good infrastructure, but is short of staff to provide good service to residents. The wonky steps in the 4 bedded bedrooms need to ge replaced urgently before any major mishap happens."

"Rooms are clean, well decorated, bathroom is well cleaned, good hospitality and stuffs behaviour is also good but only one problem is no restaurant available with this hotel. I had order food from outsider. Lift facility is available. In one word good."

"It is just next to the cruise bar. A few minutes walk from the Ishcon center. The right address for a ro-roid. A friendly team at the reception and very clean room service. You can ask for information, and they will do everything to help you."

"Room size was smaller than washroom in a decent hotel. Staff swapped my clothes while returning from laundry. Food quality was really poor and breakfast inclusion is just a gimmick. Food - Really poor quality with bad presentation. No breakfast buffet. Extremely salty and unhealthy options served. They asked me to pick between bread and one indian option every morning for breakfast. water kept in the room looked straight from tap and couldn’t drink it. Cleanliness- Seen mattresses,towels and other linen thrown on the floor/stairs/everywhere. Bed and bath linen quality was really poor and had stains over it . Room - Size was very small with an unusable balcony (no chairs) which was very tiny and not cleaned for years. Housekeeping- Most unprofessional set of staff I’ve ever seen . My clothes were swapped while bringing laundry to my room. They took hours to find it again. No iron service available in room . Not good for long stays . Please avoid"
