"We spent the week at Casas do Patio and from the moment we arrived we were very impressed with the impeccable service. The apartment was spacious with big windows and black out curtains so you can sleep in the comfort of luxurious bedding. Staff went out of their way to guide us through the places to visit and dine. The breakfast was delivered to our room, and everyday had a different variety. I can’t recommend Casas dos Patio enough and can’t wait to visit again and enjoy the fluvial pools with the kids and rustic country side for a less crowded vacation. "

"We stayed at this hotel during the winter and had a wonderful long weekend. ~ This time, we came back in the summer and enjoyed the pool, the beautiful hiking trails, and the many great places to visit nearby. The facilities are full of charm, the staff is incredibly friendly, and we especially love the high-quality breakfast and the beautiful setting where it is served. See some pictures uploaded. "We wanted to explore the underrated Dão wine region and came across this unique property. It is a historic manor house hotel with great energy. We were welcomed by two gracious hostesses, Joana and Ana, who both have a personal connection to the place. Our room was comfortable, and we really enjoyed walking the grounds and appreciating the antiques. Solar de Vilar Seco makes for a truly unique stay and is so worth the detour. A special thank you goes to the lovely Raquel, who made an outstanding breakfast spread for us. The food she prepared was plentiful, fresh, and incredibly tasty. To the owners of the property, we really appreciated the authentic experience and are so grateful to the three ladies who manage it with such quality, care, and pride. One last highlight that made our evening divine was an exceptional dinner at Chef Gilbert’s restaurant right across the street (see my separate review for that establishment). The combination of a night stay at this property and an outstanding chef dinner, made for a truly once in a lifetime experience."
