This is one of our best stays - everything is top notch from cleanliness, food, service and the onsen. We booked the type D room with a private onsen - both public and private ones are excellent. The staff can speak reasonable Engliah, very polite, helpful and professional. We like the lady (she is from Chiba) who serves us dinner and breakfast very much! The food quality is very good - well plated, fresh and flavourful. They accommodated my quite last min request for a non-seafood dietary. The ryokan is quiet and we love it a lot (feel more private too). Love the fact that they do not allow shoes into the Ryokan (they will keep them properly for you), as it keep the room and public area clean. We will plan to stay here again (for longer period!).

Dai-ichi Takimotokan is an exceptional ryokan that offers an unforgettable onsen experience in Noboribetsu. The highlight is its large variety of hot spring baths, both indoor and outdoor, allowing guests to relax while enjoying beautiful natural surroundings. Rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, blending traditional Japanese style with modern amenities. The buffet meals are impressive, with a wide selection of fresh Japanese and international dishes. Staff are courteous, attentive, and provide excellent hospitality throughout the stay. Overall, Dai-ichi Takimotokan is perfect for travelers seeking relaxation, quality service, and an authentic Japanese onsen experience.

Had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The highlight was definitely the *authentic Japanese set dinner and breakfast* provided as part of the package. The *kaiseki-style dinner* was beautifully presented, with a variety of seasonal dishes that showcased local ingredients and flavors. Every course—from the sashimi to the simmered and grilled items—was crafted with care and balance. It felt like a true cultural experience rather than just a meal. Breakfast the next morning was equally impressive—a traditional *Japanese set meal* with rice, miso soup, grilled fish, pickles, and a few small side dishes. Everything was fresh and prepared with a light, healthy touch. The meals alone made the stay worthwhile, especially if you're looking to immerse yourself in *authentic Japanese hospitality and cuisine*. Highly recommended for those who appreciate traditional food in a peaceful, relaxing environment.

Stayed at Adex Inn Hotel and had a great experience. The location is excellent, just a short walk to 地狱谷 (Jigokudani / Hell Valley), making it super convenient for sightseeing. One of the best added values is the access to the open-site onsen facilities, which really enhanced the overall stay and relaxation. The room is a bit small, but that’s expected in Japan — especially considering the very reasonable pricing. Overall, a comfortable and value-for-money stay. Highly recommended for travelers who want convenience and a relaxing onsen experience!

The onsen was excellent, with 11 different baths to choose from. The baths were spacious and varied, with a large outdoor bath where you can really feel the fresh air. In the evening, the women’s onsen is located on B2 floor and stays open until 3:00 AM. Dinner was great with a wide variety of dishes, and breakfast was also diverse and delicious. The hotel is large with many rooms, and there’s turndown service provided by the staff. The location is convenient, and the hotel is clean and well-maintained.

The location was good and we can park our car in the hotel:s covered car park. It was a great arrangement with snowy weather. The rooms were huge with large sofa and lounge. The bedroom areas were very spacious as well. The in-room Onsen was a great treat. Very spacious for two adults. Relaxing on the Onsen watching the snow flowing down in the beautiful scenery was surely the best experience. The staff are excellent, very polite and helpful. The food was good and see the chefs: details. Excellent stay and enjoy all the time there.

Traditional Room (Japanese Tatami Room)
MochiBaeBaeThe ryokan was quite charming with lots of Japanese accents and architectural details. We signed up for one traditional breakfast and loved the experience. We loved the yukata outfits provided to schlep around the ryokan or even around town. The location was a bit of a walk going to the business/food/shop road but this only got a bit inconvenient when we had to drag our suitcases for about 10 minutes getting to the bus stop on our way back to the train station... thank goodness it was downhill all the way! Noboribetsu Onsen was a really cool place to visit!

Hotel was located higher up at noboribetsu. You can take the public bus and alighted at the last bus stop. Booked a room with a very traditional Japanese style. I need to lay a few mattresses for my sleep. Hotel has private onsen and a wide variety of breakfast and dinner buffet. Lobby has a supermart which open only at certain timing. There’s few vendor machines available for drinks. Hotel staffs can speak simple English. Make sure you include both as dinning out will be difficult. Take note u need to have a time table of the public bus to travel around noboribetsu.
