"What a hidden little gem. This hotel is excellent Lots of quirky features, record player in room, records all around the hotel that you can play. The rooms are super large , but have a balcony that is shared Bathroom is spacious but no door. Steve the owner is very friendly and helpful. Bed super comfortable and slept like a log. Block out curtains make room nice and dark. Beach is only 300 meters across the road. Would recommend this hotel to anyone"

"Entire resort feels very down at heel. Certainly not as advertised. No waterslide, no jumping castle, games room not operating, camp kitchen old and rundown. Good location. Won’t be back at the rates we paid. Disappointed."

"What a find! An amazing quirky but beautifully appointed space! Honestly in Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney you would pay $600+ a nite! Our host Steve was amazing and we honestly couldn’t fault our room (Bowie theme 😍) Our room was just amazing, super Comfy bed and just so well designed. We stayed one night on a Monday so the bar/ restaurant wasn’t t open but we went to an amazing Thai in town called SAI, right next to Cole’s. The food was incredible."

"I stayed recently in one of the beach houses, upon entry i was greeted with dirty walls, filthy oven, crumbs still on the bench tops from previous occupants, dust, the feel of gritty sand under foot, blood splatter on one of the pillows, broken blinds. I should have walked out and demanded my money back, yes my mistake. I was contacted by email a few days later asking me how i enjoyed my stay, after telling of my disappointment i received and email from manager Mathew Wooldridge making excuses that it had been a busy season and that if i felt my stay had been so disappointing i should contact him to discuss a refund. I have now called twice and still no reply to my calls. I WILL NEVER BE BACK and NEVER RECOMMEND!!!"

"We were in the Bower Cottage, the smaller of the two. It was spacious, very clean, and well set up. We had undercover parking, with a short walk on gravel. Lots of areas to sit outside, with front & back doors. Bed was very comfortable, and the place was supper quiet. Very good BBQ at front door, also a hot tub. This was outside but close to the bed area, and was a little noisy as it heated the water. Both the kitchen & bathroom were fabulous, but there was a high step in and out of these areas. So be careful, especially in the night. No Air/Con, only a ceiling fan. Windows all round, with views of the garden - beautiful. Breakfast items provided. This is a super place for a romantic couple of days, access is on a dirt road, and very dark at night. So bring plenty of food, and just relax."
