"I don't understand the 3 stars for this hotel. At best 2 stars would be enough. Very basic room with passable bedding. The bathroom is more than dated. The bottom of the toilet is brown...... The bed lights no longer work so 2 small bedside lamps were quickly installed in their place. Dust everywhere and even a dead moth in the cover of the extra pillow above the wardrobe. Choose the ibis budget hotels which are much more modern with impeccable bedding and cleanliness. I will not stay in this hotel again but if you don't follow my advice, ask for a room on the garden floor. Breakfast is too expensive (11.50) however the staff is very pleasant"

"Stayed for 2 nights at this lovely village Chambre d'Hote a few miles from Blois. Christel and Claude were great hosts and Christel's cooking was superb - so much choice at both dinner and breakfast. Our room was quirky with sloping floors but was very comfortable. We visited the (relatively) nearby Chateau de Chaumont and Blois itself which was pleasant enough but fairly unexciting. Would recommend A La Lettre The as a base for touring this part of the Loire Valley."

"We used to stay at Les Thomeaux and everything always went very well. For this new family stay, my husband booked two rooms. When we arrived, we had the very unpleasant surprise of finding ourselves in the "annexes." One room... outside the hotel, 100 meters away... (My husband didn't pay any attention to this at all, even when the booking confirmation was sent to us with a map.) Room 503, where we stayed, looked absolutely nothing like the photos: it was more like an old room from an American movie, which clashed completely with the rest of the complex. Of course, we asked to change rooms, but the hotel was full... So: when you book, be very careful not to end up in the annex... It's old, noisy, close to the road and the traffic lights (so very noisy). Avoid it at all costs!!! Very, very disappointed 😢"

"Smell of cigarettes in the room, but otherwise very decent. 20 minutes from the Château de Chambord. TV works very well. Very good value for money."

"We stayed there overnight while travelling to the west coast. A classic B&B hotel, I love them. Simple but you get what you expect - always the same resonable quality. Room was small but clean and comfortable. No kettles or smth but it was okay. Situated near the road a bit far from the city center, but that wasn`t a problem as well because we had a car. Overall - recommended."
