"An excellent budget hotel with wonderful staff, walking distance from all the sights in Orchha. Aniket will welcome you with impeccable English and both a friendly and professional attitude. He has put a lot of work in providing guests with an amazing itinerary for sightseeing. Room was big and clean (I have to point out that the bed linens were one of the cleanest of the trip). Towels, soap and hot water were available in the room. Water bottles and sodas available to buy, as well as some food options. Aniket's father is wonderful too, helped me booked a tuk-tuk to Jhansi train station at 6am and even got up at that time to make sure everything was OK."

"Rooms No 1, 2 and 3 are worth staying, best to avoid other excuses of a room. The Maharaja and Maharani suites are excellent and worth the experience. Though not a part of the original palace, the location is between jahangir mahal and raja mahal. Light and Sound show, though informative, have a feel and finnese best attributed to the 1960s. MPTDC should certainly upgrade the show! Our second visit this year, sadly both housekeeping and service have deteriorated."

"What a disappointment. The central part of the hotel is incredibly beautiful but sadly that’s where the positives end. Check in was unfriendly bordering on the disinterested. The floor of our bedroom was so dirty I wore shoes in the room. We stayed 3 nights and the same dirty plates from the wedding party in the hotel at the same time as us sat outside our room for the whole time we were there. Meals were awful. There was a big tour party at the same time as us and the dining room was like a zoo. The final straw was when my wife and I were sitting outside the room and hotel staff started throwing fruit from an upper floor window and we were surrounded by angry monkeys. The lady who was head of house keeping was very nice. We tried to speak with the manager on departure but they were too busy to speak with us. Dreadful experience"
