"Unique friendly hotel out in the country. Expect no facilities around the hotel, so everything is arranged by the staff. Clean rooms, friendly staff, nice activities and lots of animals around. Food is good, daily buffets. Bring good (DEET) mosquito repellent! But that helps in the whole Pantanal. Compared to i.e. pousado pantanal mota grosso the Rio Claro is a much better option."

"sparse rooms, sheet left on bed to make yourself. Air Conditioning was adequate. Food was the worse we had on our trip. Pool was green and they were trying hard to get it back. On the positive side there was so much nature, plenty of great photo opportunities, nice walking trails, at times the wood on bridges is dangerously rickety. It has a great location and really could be a great place to stay"

"Super cute lodge in the Pantanal. We loved the sprawling views from the bar and large pool area. Tons of hammocks on site for relaxing. Capybaras roamed the grounds in the evening/early morning, and caimans were in the ponds nearby. We saw three large anteaters (one was a baby on the back), guinea pigs, foxes, deer, potoo and many other birds in their open truck safari vehicle. The room was spacious and clean, and the buffet had tons of options."

"We had a wonderful time at this Lodge. The staff & our guide Marcus, were all excellent. The room was comfortable & very clean. All the meals we had were very good & freshly prepared. Loved the Pantanal Horse riding & the canoeing. Thoroughly recommend this Lodge."
