"Arriving just before 7pm on a June Saturday night and not really expecting to be able to get a table for dinner (should have booked but wasn’t sure on timings after a ferry to Belfast from Stranraer) the front of staff house were able to squeeze us in with a table for 8pm. Food was excellent, love the ambience of the downstairs restaurant / bar area. Stayed for 2 nights. William was so friendly and helpful throughout our stay, please let him know. Breakfast was outstanding on both days. On William’s suggestion the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs was the day 2 choice. Would love to return, free parking pretty easy outside the hotel as well."

"On a recent golfing holiday in Ireland, we stayed three nights at Curran Gate Apartments in Portrush (24-26August2025). We were extremely pleased with our choice. It is located close to several premier golf courses on the stunning north coast of Northern Ireland. Our host, Deirdre (DeeDee), could not have been more pleasant or accommodating. In addition to seeing to our accommodation needs, and although we had a rental car, she also chauffeured us to and from local restaurants and other nearby sites in her own car. Our accommodations (5A) were very comfortable, spotlessly clean, and was well-stocked with snacks and beverages. Each morning, chef Sylvia, prepared a breakfast that can only be described as ‘delicious’ and ‘abundant’. From freshly made scones and croissants, eggs to order, sausages and bacon, cereals, yogurts, fresh fruits and juices, to teas and coffee…it was a great way to start each day. We look forward to staying at Curran Gate again and highly recommend."

"The hotel is excellent. Portrush is a dump. I tried hard to research an ideal place to stop overnight, as part of an Antrim Coast road trip. My research let me down! Do yourself a favour, if you want a few beers & a good meal, in between doing this trip, by AVOIDING Portrush, in favour of staying elsewhere. My recommendation would be Balleycastle, but make your own mind up. JUST AVOID PORT 🤬 RUSH!"

"This review is more of a piece of advice for future travellers who need to use the car park at this B&B. The car park is to the rear of the property and is located by driving past the property and later taking a lane way in. My advice would be to gain instructions from the owners first. I have also suggested by direct communication that they put instructions on their site and correspondence for the parking, to make it easier. I was having trouble locating the car park and made the mistake of taking the B&B and the antique shop as one and the same, due to sharing the Antique name and being adjoined. I pulled into the antique shop, which has front of shop parking, to ask for help. The owner was simply horrible, unhelpful and I ended up having to reverse out and go back to finding it myself. On the plus side, Marlena was much more pleasant person to deal with, the room was very nice and the property is very clean. Location is by the Metropole and so very handy, no matter what you need to access in Portrush."
