"We'd booked two rooms here and on arrival were told we'd been 'upgraded' to a (less expensive and very tired) one bed apartment with an uncomfortable sofa bed in the sitting room. Unfortunately the hotel kitchen seemed to vent its fumes into the bathroom too. We made clear the arrangement wasn't acceptable for our party and requested that the original booking was honoured. This it seemed was not possible. Initially we were offered free dinner on both nights but on requesting that we be moved the following night to two rooms, a further call to the manager yielded the surprise that the Hotel View across the road, would accommodate us instead. This was super - the best outcome. A new, modern option which was infinitely preferable.."
