Rose Garden Palace Roma by Omnia Hotels

Via Veneto Rome|2.51km from auditorium san leone magno
We enjoyed a 3 night stay at Rose Palace. The front desk gave us tired travelers a warm welcome that made us relax immediately. Our room overlooked the back of the American Embassy with guards stationed outside 24/7 so it was definitely safe. The hotel is a little off the beaten path from the usual touristy spots in Rome but in a very quiet area. The room was very clean. We had 3 in our room and the 3rd person had to sleep on a full size pull out couch. It was comfy for a pull out (you couldn’t feel the bar under the mattress) but unless you put up the bed every day the only place to sit were the beds. It had a small fridge and the bathroom was updated but limited on counter space around the sink. The buffet breakfast was geared toward a variety of tastes. Scrambled eggs, a variety of pastries, orange juice, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, cheese, meat, etc. When the weather was nice we enjoyed sitting outside in the garden. There is a tiny grocery store called Co-op around the corner where you can buy the basics. Also on the next block is an ATM in the alcove of the bank entrance that seemed secure to use. Reading older reviews we thought there was a restaurant in the hotel serving dinner but it turned out to just be a small bar. So we walked a couple of blocks north and ate at Cesarina and enjoyed a good meal and friendly staff. There were a lot of other restaurants to pick from in a 2-3 block radius. The ones on Via Vittorio Veneto appeared to be more expensive than the ones northeast of the hotel. There is a taxi stand a couple of blocks away and we used both Uber and inTaxi for rides back to the hotel.

Termini Central Station Rome|2.92km from auditorium san leone magno
Great location. Any major attraction can be reached within 20 minutes. Spacious room with a very comfortable mattress. Very helpful staff both at the reception and during room service. We initially had a corner room, but found it a little noisy for us. At the reception they changed it without any problems for another one. There are several good restaurants nearby. Reception's recommendations were also excellent. The hotel does not have its own parking lot, but in the same building on the base floor there is a garage (not the hotel), which can be accessed without entering the ZTL zone. Price 35 euros per day. But opposite the garage there is a paid city parking lot, where you can also leave your car. To get into the hotel from a garage or parking lot, you need to call from downstairs so that a receptionist will come and open the door to the elevator hall. We liked the breakfast. There was a bit of a lack of variety in egg dishes, but there was plenty of other stuff. I think the main disadvantage is the paid gym and spa. And if the spa is somehow explainable, then the gym is usually free for hotel guests. The price for visiting guests is 9 euros. Restaurant is fine. You get the voucher with 20% discount when check-in so the price becomes reasonable. Overall we enjoyed our time at the hotel and will return here again. At first, we thought we had a great deal and would be staying at a great hotel. The TripAdvisor photos looked great, the place looked clean in the pictures and it looked like it was a great deal. We ended up cancelling our entire trip which was meant to be Rome, Florence and then Milan and booking a next morning ticket home because the room had left me with such a major allergic reaction that I could barely see more than a foot in front of me. On the first night getting into Rome, we just arrived from the airport to try and get in the front for it to just be closed entirely having to figure out that we had to walk down this alleyway road to the bar and check in which honestly we thought was no big deal but we should have realised this was the first red flag. Then we were put on the first floor with a booking that had been in advance to enter the room and be hit instantly with such a strong smell of chemicals and perfume which was clearly trying to cover up the unpleasant smell which it didn't so it created this mix of intense chemicals, perfume and putrid smell. The bathroom wasn't cleaned properly and I could barely stay in there without my face starting to have a reaction so my partner seeing this got me out as quickly as possible and we found somewhere to eat and talk. We agreed that we would ask the reception in the morning if we could wash the sheets with a non-bio wash instead I had to see if that helped because before going for dinner we realised one of the perfume smells was coming from the sheets itself. When we got back we tried to enter our room for our key did not work until the 5th try and then we got in. This problem happened over 6 times and we had to go to the front desk half of those times to be let back in the room. I tried having a shower and while using the towel in the bathroom I was hit with another smell of some terribly cheap perfume completely drenching it. Water was coming out from both the bath and shower faucets and the mechanism to switch between the two wouldn't lock. Half an hour later my face swells up to a balloon, my partners booked our flight home and I'm sleeping in a hoodie with the hood up making sure not to put my face on the pillow because it's drenched in even more chemicals. We checked out the next morning first thing even though we were meant to be there for 4 more days and in Italy for another week. The last time I stayed in Rome I stayed in a hotel that was a lot cheaper and their sheets were 1000x better. We lost out on all of our holiday and money and I've never once experienced or left a bad review for a place or left a place the very next day. If you want to pay a large amount for cheap hotel accommodation this is the place.

Experience at this hotel was mixed. We went on an 11 day trip to Rome with another couple staying at the same hotel as us. Unfortunately when we were shown to our rooms we were disappointed. Our room was rather small had twin beds not a king and there was little space for our belongings. We had to keep most of our clothes in suitcases as there were only six coat hangers provided in a very tiny wardrobe. Hanging space for dresses was inadequate and my wife's dresses hung out of the wardrobe and the door could not be shut. The hotel did replace the twin beds with a king size mattress and supplied another six coat hangers which made life a little bit easier for us. The bedside tables are probably the smallest ones I've seen in my life and you could just about fit a couple of pairs of socks in these. They were very few PowerPoints and the kettle was sat on a small dressing table but there was no mirror over it so rendered the Power Points below useless for my wife to use her hair dryer. You haven't realised the kettle wasn't plugged in and it was only by pulling all the furniture out that we were able to reconfigure things to use the kettle several days into our stay. Our friends stayed in basement room which was more spacious but the there was a significant lack of light and when they arrived it smelt really really musty in fact they complained and the holiday tour operator some send photos of the room but then rejected them because they look too dark not a surprise given that it was a basement room and they got the lights on and the place really smelt of mold we were lucky with our room because at least it had a small balcony which overlooked the neighboring Afghan embassy. The bathroom was of an accent size which is fortuitous because one of our cases was stored underneath the sink unit for the whole of the duration of the holiday. The cleaners did an absolutely fantastic job and the rooms were spotless. We did however have a problem with the shower tray which wasn't draining properly however this was sorted out the same day we brought this up with reception. a special thanks to all the female staff who were fantastically helpful and welcoming and there was also a young barman who was there most evenings and he was really helpful supplying us with ice buckets corkscrews plates knives and forks so we could eat in in the garden which was a very pleasant experience. It's a real shame that the garden being so lovely was not made more use of for example the hotel could put a small cocktail bar in the garden for evenings and an evening restaurants service I'm sure will be very easy to set up in this particular hotel. Breakfast was entertaining. It was over seen by a restaurant manager who behave more like a referee telling us what we could and couldn't do. On a first day when we turned up to breakfast at 9:30 we sat on a table reserve four and he tried to kick his off but we were eventually allowed to stay because we said our friends were coming t

Hotel location is slightly off, but close to the subway station, about 8 minutes walk. The hotel belongs to the kind of sparrow that is small and complete. Facilities and services are still ok, the right price. The hotel is 5 minutes away from the right hand side and there is a cheap Chinese restaurant. There is a big supermarket in the next 5 minutes. It is very convenient. Breakfast is not bad.

It is situated in an area further from all the attractions. Trevi Fountain is about 3 km form the hotel. If you get a room facing main road it is too much noice. The rooms are quite small and there was some mold in the bathroom. But the breakfast was very good.

The reviews for this hotel raise expectations. And while I agree with most reviews in part, I would also advise that you temper your expectations as this hotel is good but not great. The first problem for me and, based on conversations at breakfast , many others, was the difficulty in finding the hotel. Although I was told repeatedly what a short distance it was from the metro, the university etc, it is nevertheless difficult to find without google maps and lots of direction asking. Second is the state of the hotel; again good and at first sight an oasis of calm in the heat but a bucket to catch drips of water from the ceiling and crumbling paint on the walls, suggests that this oasis could do with a refurb. My room was on the ground floor, and again it was fine. But the room got very hot in the night and the shower did not work. Finally the breakfast; at first glance an excellent spread bustling with choice with one exception; the availability of toast at 8.15am as it had to be collected from the local supermarket ! As I said, the hotel is good and the staff are very well meaning but do not be lured into expecting anything more than average.
