I don’t usually bother myself writing reviews for the hotels. But it was such a pleasure to stay in DaDongHai hotel! Clean and nice, the staff really went above and beyond helping me with any little problem I had. Loved their small but SUPER clean pool with a beer bar nearby. Also, they got probably the best hotel gym I ever worked out in. Lots of equipment for strength training and cardio. Very close to the beach and other places to go for food or a drink. Very friendly and generous room cleaning ladies. Thanks for their work! Next time I’m in Sanya, I won’t even look up other hotels - will come back to DaDongHai.

It’s a great hotel. I booked here because of the rainbow bridges direct access to the beach - the booking is non refundable. Perfect location. Porters and kitchen staff and chef are polite and delightful. I booked a hotel package . Which included a yacht trip . Also upon checking the website it said languages spoken Chinese and English. Upon check in it was lovely that they allowed us into the hotel room earlier than 3pm . The welcome was a bit cold. No smiles just nervous dealing with English speakers . It was not told to us upon arrival about the construction and no access to the rainbow Bridge from the hotel which leads to the beach . In the room there was a note of apology in Chinese . Seeing that the main reason for us booking here was direct access to the beach it not already dampened our reservation/ which is no fault of the hotel if it’s government regulations. However prior to check in I believe an email should have been sent stating that . As the Bridge is the main attraction. So if you’re booking there now bear in mind construction and no easy access. Beach rules no entering the water after 6 pm even though sun is still up : The hotel doesn’t provide tea cups for the tea they provide in the room . We needed to use glass cups which is used to drink cold liquids . Foreigners make tea using g boiling water so we need a cup with ceramic handles at least . When I asked for one from the kitchen I didn’t receive a reply from The reception desk and I was told by house keeping there was none . The dilemma with the inclusive day yacht trip was only resolved due to Trip.com help . They treated us well after the complaint of them not being able to compensate or include us. The trip was pleasant . The breakfast buffet and staff are pleasant . The dinner buffet was great and the kitchen staff very accommodating and welcoming. The beach umbrellas were no in use . No beach towels provided . No bedroom slippers except the rubber ones for shower/ beach .

I have been living in Harman Hotel for 22 days . The service is very good , convenient location . I just fell in love with the bakery there, bread is really fresh and delicious. I would like to say special thank you for Guest Service officer Mr Chen who can speak Russian for his attentive service , Office Manager gentleman who wear white uniform at the reception , unfortunately , I forgot his name for helping me to change my room , I appreciate. Further more thank you to Guest Service Manager who helped me to handle my dress issue in the shop, so kind of you. Ms 西西 who works at night and helped me to upgrade my room upon my arrival. Sisi at guest service for delicious night fruits and young lady trainee on the reception.

The hotel is very old, the room we stayed in definitely needs renovation, and probably so do other rooms. The view is nice, though. The biggest disappointment was “private beach”. As the hotel staff pointed out, all the beaches in Sanya are now public, so no private beach whatsoever. The only thing the hotel could offer is a private gate to the beach, which was only open for one day during our stay, then it got closed because of some construction works at the beach. So, to get to the beach, we needed to take a detour through the main street which was awfully inconvenient. Just imagine going all the way back covered in sand and everything😡 The hotel has two swimming pools, one of them was closed. The other one was fine, no problem here. All in all, the hotel was quite a disappointment, not going back there again.

From my client: I stayed in the modern part of the hotel on the 13th floor. The view was stunning, the room was huge, and there were many amenities inside. The strangest thing was that the room lacked a refrigerator and kitchen utensils. In December (during my stay), the pool was completely closed, and there was no information about it. In fact, you find out about it not at the reception, but at the pool itself. As an experienced traveler who always moves around on my own, the hotel's location was quite advantageous. There are many small cafes nearby, a long beach, a beautiful wooden promenade, and several public transport stops, which are a 5-15 minute walk away. The hotel has private parking, which is convenient if you have rented a car. What can I say about breakfast? The reception and breakfast restaurant are located in the old part of the hotel. There is little lighting, the decor is old, and there is little aesthetic appeal. The cuisine is Chinese with elements of European food. Tourists who bought package tours and stayed in this part of the hotel had much worse rooms (the rooms were not renovated at all, the carpets were old, the wall paint was not great) than I did, who booked accommodation through this app. I would like to separately mention the work of the staff. The employees only speak Chinese, and they have no desire to assist you if you are a foreigner because they seem shocked and totally confused by you. Upon check-in, they did not provide any additional gifts that were provided by Trip.com when purchasing accommodation. As they say, the law there is one: if you need something, you have to insist on it using a Chinese translator and supporting documents. By the way, upon check-in, you have to leave a deposit, and most importantly, keep the deposit receipt so that you can get it back later.

For the Price, this hotel is good, we had the family suite which was a good size and clean. The swimming pool is OK but not as large as appear in the pictures and can get crowded early evening. Very close to the beach which is clean but does have restricted swimming areas. Couple of points to consider, the swimming pool closes 12:30-15:30 daily for some reason unknown, also the pool will not open if raining !!! Breakfast choice is quite limited for both Western and Local food, I asked for cold milk to be told they do not have any, only hot milk available !!!! We visited this area 3 years go and dined at the nearby Dadonghai Bar/Restaurant area which was excellent, a long boardwalk area full of different spots to dine, drink and relax, unfortunately this area is under heavy restoration and very little choice available for Bars/Restaurants.

The room is clean and clear, and the equipment and facilities are perfect. I stayed in a family sea view suite, which costs 500 a night in the peak season of August. Three people stayed here. The front faces the Dadonghai. Next to the window is the Dadonghai Hotel, and the short red building in front is South China Hotel (an old hotel that many national leaders have stayed in before), because the equipment and facilities are outdated, I didn’t choose it. Although I go out to the sea, I chose Vienna, a chain brand, and the service is as good as ever! Transportation: Downstairs is the bus station, there are many lines directly to various attractions, and it is quite convenient to take a taxi Environment: The hotel lobby faces the street, and the back faces Dadonghai. Facing the hotel, there are Pineapple Shopping Center and Dadonghai Plaza (very close to the sea) on both sides. It is surrounded by the Hainan military management area. The sense of security is quite good, and the location is quite superior! Eat and drink around: recommended coastal Jiangnan cuisine, warm service, and good taste. There is a restaurant on the second floor of the hotel. There is a supermarket next to Lanzhou Ramen (I feel that there are many shops like this in Sanya), Grandma Qingliangbu, Shaxian snacks, milk tea and Hainan across the street The time-honored Chunguang Supermarket has a lot of food and drink, so don’t worry! Room facilities: The bedding is very comfortable, there is a desk in the room, and a beauty mirror in the bathroom, clean and tidy! There is a laundry room on the 3rd floor, so there is nothing to say about washing and drying~ Scenery: We live in 1002 on the 10th floor. As shown in the front view, it faces the Dadonghai Sea. The scenery is not inferior to the hotel in the front. It rained heavily the night before and saw a rainbow 🌈 the next morning. The mood is very beautiful! In short, with this location, next time I come to Sanya, I will still choose this hotel. The location is so superior, and the transportation is so convenient for eating, drinking and playing! It is especially recommended to eat the breakfast on the first floor of their home. The taste is very comfortable for me, a Sichuanese. There are about ten or twenty breakfasts. Anyway, there are many choices!

In comparison to my 3 weeks of hotel stay in 7 cities in China, this hotel has to be the most disappointing experience. Breakfast was poor. There’s a sign for coffee but nothing offered across the 3 nights we stayed there. No bacon or fried eggs nor western bakeries. However, there’s limited congee , noddles, cooked veggies & white bread with only one strawberry jam offered . We’re there at 750 am but was told some items was already out of stock. Limited napkins provided in dining area. Room was smelly of tropical dampness, but air conditioning helps. $300 deposit was required for room damage precautions. My friend has an argument over tainted bedsheet caused by previous patrons but has to prove it. So check your bedroom before committing. Location was fairly good, with walking distance to the beach and side street offered various food services and massages. Second level inaccessible by elevator but no one tells us until much later. Russian tourists loved this area & the abundance of Russian posters & welcoming signs told the story.

I also booked it with trepidation, because I was afraid of pitfalls, but when I arrived, I found out that this is a sea view room. Of course, we went to Sanya first, and there are many people who need the sea view. Secondly, service. We just arrived in Sanya and haven’t gone to the hotel yet. , the front desk contacted me very enthusiastically first and asked me my arrival time and where to wait for me. Because we stayed for two days and the hotel stored our luggage for us, these services were still very good. Finally, because there are differences between B&Bs and hotels, you have to contact the front desk for timely cleaning. This is understandable and a fair comment.
