The hotel's design/facilities are dated, however the upkeep is very good and generally very clean. Public bath/onsen facility is well maintained though dated, and the outdoor onsen is a pleasant surprise. Room is spacious, again design is dated but upkeep is good. Beds are very comfortable. Hotel staffs are very helpful, most of them are comfortable with basic English and seem to be experienced in dealing with foreign guests. The breakfast buffet has balanced choices (western / local), and Japanese restaurant serves high quality food, good value."

It may be because there are not many guests in the hotel.
