"I had one of the best sleeps in a quiet environment surrounded by nature but with the comfort of a great structure. A beautiful swimming pool with a great view, kitchen and order amenities like outdoor tables and dining area. The management for extremely cordial and informative, also help me with different aspects of the trip like arranging tour around the area and Serra da Estrela, also arranging taxis and promptly responding when I ask for help to move around by buses."

"I stayed in "Medronheiro", a "double room with mountain views". There were good views of the parish church and out over the countryside to distant mountains Bedroom bright, modern but small. No table/ work surface (there is a strange rack perhaps for luggage), no fridge or room safe. Wardrobe with a sliding door that covers half of it. Poor wifi (one or two bars, would sometimes cut out). The air conditioning was effective. Bathroom gloomy dark colours, small, limited shelf space, basin too small for decently washing a shirt. Benamôr toiletries. Breakfast a good buffet, though noisy and a bit restless. On my booking form l had indicated a mid-morning arrival. I was offered early check-in for €15. I said l would just leave my bags, for which there was no charge. When l arrived mid-morning the room happened to be ready and l checked in with no charge."

"This was supposed to be a anniversary treat! Was not!! This was the dirtiest hotel we have ever stayed in Portugal or wish to ....basically just should be shut down. The atmosphere is dead, service us appalling and cleanliness is non existent. On arrival it felt we were the only ones there, asking about dinner in the restaurant we were recommended to eat in the restaurant in town can see why! The carpet in the halls is filthy as are the windows. The room was acceptable but the lampshades are stained, long hairs in bathroom on tiles, furniture needs replacing. We headed for the pool area which looked lovely online...the beach towels are stained, lawn not been cut for months, sunbeds stained and broken and pool has not been cleaned for months the times were green and brown and bottom of pool was green we did not go in. I am surprised this is not shut down or in administration it's awful. Please don't go here unless you just want a cheap bed. Think the owners and management should be ashamed."
