Lotte Hotel Seoul Executive Tower

Myeong-dong Seoul|0.73km from Herapalace
Stayed at the Lotte Executive Tower just after the holidays, in a Premier Double Room. Pros: - The entrance of the Executive Tower is absolutely beautiful. Same with the Main Tower. Elegant, refined, beautiful art work. The executive tower check-in desks are on the 15th floor. - Easy access by escalator directly into the Lotte Department Store (from where the escalator takes you to, hang a right to get to the famous food hall!) - Location can’t be beat. Directly across from Eujiro Station (1) and around the corner from Myeong-Dong Walking Street / Night Market and several 7-11s (which are almost as good as the 7-11s in Japan). - Our room was beautiful, spacious, thoughtfully designed and decorated. Very modern touches and upscale finishes. A chandelier in the bathroom?? - Immaculate housekeeping. - Excellent temperature and very strong water pressure in the shower! - Appreciate the 2 complimentary bottles of Evian every day. - Fast wifi speeds. Cons: - Love the Diptyque toiletries but wish they weren’t the communal / shared bottles. There were bits of dried lotion crusted on the pump from the previous occupant. - Weird that neither lobby had a single chair to sit on. What’s up with that? Comes off a bit inhospitable. This isn’t the type of place to attract non-guests / loiterers. A bench wouldn’t kill anyone! - For a 5* hotel and the price we’re paying, it’s disappointing that there is a surcharge should you need a toothbrush, toothpaste or use of the sauna (!!). They claim the charge for toothbrush and paste is to prevent wastage but surely you could just have these small items available upon request at the front desk? - The doormen’s manners range from formal and friendly (some) to indifferent (most) to downright hostile (many), especially if you are not a Korean speaker, as many don’t speak English. I’m not arrogant enough to think they should speak English in a non-English speaking country, but a smile is universal, you know? Would likely stay here again at the right price and given the location.

Myeong-dong Seoul|0.09km from Herapalace
The location is very good. There are obvious road signs to find the intersection according to the map. Need to go uphill for a period similar to the alley. But usually only the owner ’s father was there. The door was a code lock at night when we arrived. The owner did n’t tell us in advance. Check-in: No one opened the door by ringing the doorbell, and the homeowner WeChat did not pass in time. It waited for more than ten minutes. Some guests came back from the outside. Because I did n’t get in touch with the host, I had to rely on myself. I opened the door and saw the name of the reservation posted on the shoe cabinet. I knew my room number. Then I moved my luggage into the house. No one was in the process, desperate. Room: The room is not large. A 1.5m mattress and an old small refrigerator (unplugged, with a slight smell), so it is not used. A dressing table, a simple chair. So I always put on makeup in front of the floor-standing mirror, otherwise I have to kneel or sit on the mattress. I can spread out a suitcase in the rest of the place. If it's crowded, I'll spread out two 24-inch suitcases. The TV is basically offline, no signal ... Toilets: Because the homestay is generally underfloor heating, the toilets are cold, there are no facilities such as Yuba, only a lamp and exhaust. The exhaust sound is slightly louder (within a small acceptable range), but it is cold wind, that is, it will freeze to death if the toilet door is opened (the reason is explained later). Wash basin, toilet, corner rack, mirror, towel rack, clothes line. The shower nozzle is connected with the sink. There is no description. To study it yourself, you need to press or pull a button to switch. The towel is this dark brown. The overall toilet feels cold! The environment is not very clean and bright. Floor heating: 18 degrees at room temperature! It ’s always the same, because some guests first encountered the same problem. I helped communicate with the host WeChat (the host passed the entry after entering their own room), and then because it stayed colder, I communicated with the host again. Let me help take a picture of the equipment downstairs. After adjusting the equipment, it has an effect after 30 minutes. Basically, the indoor temperature stays around 22-23 degrees for the five days I live. Breakfast is also buffet There are various presentations in the kitchen and common areas. The homeowner's father said little and was very kind. He didn't touch him so much and said goodbye before leaving. If you don't take a picture, you won't go to the picture. The overall feeling is really not very good, I can understand the self-service throughout the homestay, but there are some things, such as things like telling the door password in advance. I am not very satisfied with the sanitation of the environment and facilities, including my husband and I are really disappointed with this homestay (maybe I expect it to be too high), but in view of this location, the price is still acceptable, as long as the demand is not large All are OK. Anyway, I do n’t want to experience it next time ...

Right where all the action of Myeong-dong street market is! Staff were helpful. Able to store luggage at the lobby before check-in and after check out. Toilets are equipped with smart bidet (yay! with seat warmer!!!! so nice in cold weather). Room is clean, though looked a lil rundown, but still acceptable, given that we were mostly out. Halal food available at the street market too (The halal lamb skewer was the best I've had)! The strawberries, grapes that tasted like sweet jellly, (its a no wonder SG markets sells them soo expensive!) On weekdays, street market starts at 5pm, on weekend, it starts by afternoon. Apart from street markets, Lotte store is within walking distance for those who wishes to spend on the higher end products. Not to forget, Olive Young is all the rage there, especially during their sale for that Korean glass skincare! Managed to snag some Kpop items for kids back home. The light sticks were way cheaper than in Singapore, and there were so many merch and photocards available. Even the lomo cards are nice! The airport transfer bus is within walking distance from the hotel. The bus will stop at a few hotels within the area to pick up passengers heading along the way or towards airport. We took the airport transfer bus on a weekend to Incheon Airport Terminal 1. It cost 17000 won/per pax. Journey took nearly 2hrs, considering the weekend traffic at noon. Can't wait to visit again!

The room is small but very clean. The location is excellent, but the sound insulation is not good and it is a bit noisy, but the price is okay in such a prosperous place.

Hostel is brilliantly located about 5 minutes walk to Myeongdong. Bus stop to catch the airport bus is also 5 minutes away. Hostel itself is up a sloping street (“cartoon street”) which has convenience stores, restaurants (including a 24 hour one!) and shops. Very convenient. Despite this, street is quiet; we had no problems with noise. The hostel is about 5 stories tall which includes the rooftop sitting area. Note no lift. Simple breakfast of toast and cereal available every morning in the kitchen on the (I think) 3rd floor or in the little reception area. Coffee and juice available too. Note no tea (bring your own!). Our family of 4 took 2 rooms across the corridor from each other. Rooms are small, simply furnished but comfortable and clean. Heated floors were a bonus! Each room comes with a little fridge. En-suite bathroom was clean. Rooms come with small hand towels; proper bath towels are available with a small deposit. Laundry service is also available for a reasonable fee. Staff were generally friendly and accommodating. There is a little welcome pack of treats when you arrive and a “goodbye” bag when you leave. A nice touch. Note there is a surcharge for using your credit card. All in all, a comfortable and clean place to stay in a great location and at a reasonable price.

I use it many times every time I go to Seoul. The owner Kim is also very friendly and very kind. It is advantageous that the price is low. Limousine bus is a few minutes walk. Very convenient location

The room is spacious and the toilet is clean! Love the constant hot water, esp during cold seasons. Staff are very friendly and the housekeeper helped to fold my jackets nicely during housekeeping that I’ve randomly placed on the seat in my room. This is such a sweet gesture. Location is awesome too. Airport bus is just a short distance away. It’s very near to Myeongdong train station exit 3 too! Would totally be back on my next trip.

The location is very good. Just turn right at the next intersection of Myeongdong Subway Station, and you will see it. It is very convenient to go to the surrounding scenic spots. The airport bus stop is just across the road from Exit 2, with children coming to travel. Opposite the hotel, the price has been doubled or tripled on the weekend to book this house. When you see it, there is no elevator, so the remarks should be on the first floor. The floor on the first floor is very hot and not noisy. There are water dispensers and coffee on each floor. Tea, microwave oven, etc., the facilities are very complete, breakfast has bread, coffee, omelettes, juice, the boss service is very good, has always been harmonious, give free printing, copy a lot of information, children like this tatami room, Although the room is a little small, the girlfriends of the same company have always said that they will set this hotel early, and it is cheap and comfortable. I will stay here next time, recommend!

Many of these hotels in Seoul feel that the price is still very high, that is, the store is more secret. Unfamiliar in foreign countries, follow the navigation, find it in the hutong is a little troublesome. Self check-in is very good, it is very late and does not disturb other people, the door check-in tips are written in great detail. We were a little cold when we went, but there was no heating. In addition, the customer service sister is very good, patient
