The interior design is pretty decent, can see they really considered the details of the faclities. Breakfast was so good, and good for IG photos as well! But it would be much better if there are more elevators since there are only 2 elevators in the high building and guests have to wait for long.. Other than that, overall was great and I will def choose this hotel next time when I come to shanghai!

The room is large and elegantly decorated. The turquoise behind the small round glass window is the finishing touch. It is very comfortable to sit on the small sofa by the window and make tea or have a cup of capsule espresso. The free drinks in the small refrigerator are just a treat. Visiting children. The bathroom is good, the toilet has a flushing function, and the shower temperature is automatically adjusted (the water volume control is a bit messy, and I accidentally soaked the cold water in the large shower head on my body after taking a bath). The shampoo and shower gel smell great and are worth it. price point. The mattress is soft and hard and very comfortable to sleep on. The soundproofing of the house is also good, so I can sleep until I wake up naturally every day. The breakfast is exquisite. Although the portions are not large and there are not many varieties, they are all of high quality. I especially like the yogurt from Kas. Just outside the door is the 1931 commercial complex, which is convenient for eating. The toppings at Xinle Noodle House are good.

Super helpful and friendly staff. Assisting me in ordering food delivery, ordering didi (cab/taxi) and also with my luggages. Special thanks to the very thoughtful house keeping lady, I think her surname is Fang, who is on duty from Dec 4th till 9th on the 11th floor. She put in extra effort and try her best to help my colleague from Philippines even with language barrier. Love the location as well, very near the subway station, beautiful surroundings during Autumn, a lot of locals and non local restaurants. Convenient location.

The hotel staff was extremely courteous and helpful. A few spoke English well which was a plus. The area is nice, a lot of popular spots in walking distance. I was initially worried about the traffic in the area, but taxis came and went with no issue. Breakfast was awesome! It is an old hotel. It’s more obvious in the rooms. I didn’t like my room personally, but the staff was courteous in allowing me to change. It didn’t make a difference. But the bed was super comfortable. Would I stay again? Yes, based on the friendliness of the staff, surrounding areas, breakfast. I’d try another type of room.

It was very nice. The price is really really good. Hotel is totally normal. Nothing luxury, but everything in order. Rest of the hotels also have the same rooms, even smaller, but they charge more. So this is really ok. It's not perfect, but for this price in Shanghai it is good good. One thing, bring your own tooth brush and tooth paste, because the hotel doesn't give you those.

A basic domestic hotel. Very few foreigners stay here. No mini fridge in the room if need cold refrigeration can leave the food with one big fridge located at the lobby - sharing basis. Prefer the room with Window though smaller in floor area. For single it is more than enough space . If 3 pax in a room then, not suitable. Staff are not oriented to provide traditional hotel concierge service . Everything is DIY. For local season travellers, this is the kind of no frills hotel people look for.

The hotel basically has no service. When you check out, you need to wait for them to confirm the room. What age is it? The quilt in the room is very thin, and the window in the master bedroom is large and super cold. Shouldn't you change a thicker quilt this season? I woke up twice in one night, and the breakfast was so monotonous that it was better to call soy milk fritters. There are no particularly good hotels in Xujiahui, apart from convenient transportation, there is no advantage, the price and service are not proportional.

Very friendly service from all staff. I do not speak Chinese, but the lady at reception used a translate app during check-in and was very kind and patient. The room is so large & comfortable, with a HUGE bed (super King?), and the most comfortable pillows I have ever experienced! Plenty of storage for clothes and luggage, and a large bathroom with a lovely shower. Even though the room faced the street, it was very quiet. Good double glazing perhaps? The breakfast selection was very good with many different options. We are vegan so our choice is limited, but we still managed to get enough to eat. Really good price, I would stay here again.

This was a clean and modern hotel. Loved the area and shopping centers around it . We had a better experience here than staying near the Bund area . The rooms were big . Good view + gym and laundry . The breakfast wasn't impressive but good enough. I might stay here again next time in Shanghai. The only negative thing was that staff couldn't speak english and we had to use google translator all the time. We managed to get some discounts for staying longer in this hotel.

Traditional hotel. The advantage is that it is in the Shanghai Jiaotong University campus. It is a tourist experience to visit the school. The trees such as sweet-scented osmanthus, ginkgo and other trees are lush and very quiet. The various wooden ship models in Dong Haoyun's collection are particularly wonderful, the characters are wonderful and the work is excellent.

Wife and I just spent 13 nights in a Yarrow Suite @AUD350 p/n.(via Trip.com). I have previously stayed at this property on a number of occasions when it was under different ownership and was known as GianGong/JinJiang, and when I was always very satisfied with my stays. On this current occasion however, I was a bit disappointed - mainly due to the virtual complete lack of English language capability from any staff (previously there had always been an English speaker on duty at Reception). So most of our comunications had to be via a cellphone translation App. I get it that we are guests in China but do feel that having the facility to make ouselves understood is of worthwhile value. Further more we felt the breakfast buffet offerings were disappointing - whilst being plentiful, most dishes were served cold - which in the middle of a Shanghai winter is not good enough. Also after a few days the supply of cutlery knives apparently ran out (from pilfering??), so that towards the end we certainly expanded our expertise in the use of chopsticks. On the positive side the availability of a laundry room is very handy facility. Perhaps this property has suffered adversely from the pandemic and it was noted that its up-market gift shop no longer exists. Also, the overall locality around Hengshan Road seems to have lost a lot of its vitality as it currently is not the ”party street” that it previously was. We actually sought to extend our stay by a couple of days but were quoted a much increased price for our room although it appeared to be the only one occupied on our floor. So we moved to the Donghu Hotel which offered better value for our Aussie dollar (and where most of the front office staff speak English). In summary I feel that the Lestie Hotel is still good but has perhaps evolved principally towards the Chinese domestic market, is a bit over-priced, and so I would not recommend it to foreigners.
