"This Chinese New Year, I embarked on a solo trip to Shiretoko Peninsula, dubbed Japan's last unexplored region. The room was spotless, the views were absolutely incredible, and the food was among the best I've had on my many trips to Japan. The price was also a steal – three nights with breakfast and dinner included, right during peak CNY, for under 2000 [currency unspecified, likely RMB]. You'd be lucky to find a rundown hostel for that price in Europe! The only minor downside was that the onsen view was just okay, but at this price, who's complaining? I'd love to bring my parents here someday. Keep up the excellent quality!"

"I stayed in a twin bedroom, not a dormitory. The hotel is brand new, and the rooms, made with fine wood, are very elegant. I learned that the owner is the second generation of a construction business, which makes sense. The young staff were very friendly and helped me with things like souvenir shops when I was traveling the next day. I booked a room-only stay, but I wish I had opted for a room with meals included."

"The apartment was well located with wonderful views of the ocean & harbour, especially during sunset. Rooms were clean with many amenities in common areas such as complimentary tea/coffee and some sodas. However, do take not that rooms don’t come with on suite bathrooms (only toilet). Showering facilities are all shared (genders are separated), so worth considering for those who mind. Otherwise, it is a really wonderful accommodation, would recommend!"

"Absolutely loved everything about this place! I stayed overnight with my friend and her family. Yuta (owner's son) and his mother went above and beyond to give us spectacular experience! Food was top quality, facility was extremely clean, Onsen water was so silky, delicious Gelato and good opportunity to try varieties of Japanese alcohol. This place made our visit to Hokkaido extra special. Thank you for taking good care of us and spending quality time with Matthew! He adores you!! ps. "This was the only hotel we stayed at for two consecutive nights during our entire trip to eastern Dok. It was much better than I expected; the room was very spacious, and the view from the balcony was quite nice. The hotel's onsen (hot spring) was a pleasant surprise, as I hadn't had high expectations for it, but it turned out to be a lovely open-air bath. When we checked out, the snow was very deep due to heavy snowfall, and the staff even helped us get to the station. I was very happy."
