"This hotel is somewhat of a mixed bag. The best thing about it is the location, literally 2 minutes walking distance to the train station, with at least hourly trains to the heart of Florence only taking 20 mins. Signa itself is not remarkable, but you can find good cheap food. Unfortunately, the hotel itself is very very dated. Not sure how it still has a 4 star category (maybe left over from 40 years ago). The rooms are spacious and well-equipped, but the place smells old and appliances are very old. Breakfast was fine. It seems that they are very focused on big coach travel groups."

"Elegant B&B in a delightful medieval hilltop community over looking the Arno River with Florence city Center in the distance. Morning breakfast, including fresh local pastries, served graciously by our lovely hostess, Irene (speaks English and Italian). The New Years Eve fireworks from the terrance were spectacular! ++ it’s an easy walk (10 minutes)or Uber to the train into the city (20 minutes). Very relaxing."

"We paid a €25 surcharge for our little dog, which weighed just 2.5 kg. We hadn't been informed, and in any case, I later read on Booking that the fee was €20. The owner was arrogant and rude, immediately telling us, "If it's convenient for you, then so be it; otherwise, there you go." He told us that for every hour we were late for check-in, he'd charge an extra €20 to encourage people to "come on time." Breakfast was subpar, served in paper cups and with packaged supermarket products. In a city like Florence, there are definitely better options; choose wisely and be careful not to get ripped off!"
