I have always heard some urban legends... Maybe due to this, I feel that the atmosphere in the hotel is a bit depressing. Then I originally booked a regular room, but when I checked in, I was given a very large suite on the top floor. I was really confused at the time... It was very big anyway, I think it was at least 80 square meters, with a living room, dining room, bar, and office space... Fortunately, I was with friends. Check in together. But I had a great night's sleep, the bed was very comfortable. In addition, I have to mention the shampoo used by Grand Hyatt, Balmain, which is super easy to use, rich and smooth, and easy to use. The hotel has an excellent location. The overpass at the side entrance leads to 101, connecting the entire Xinyi business district. It is convenient to watch performances next to TICC. However, breakfast is not recommended. The restaurant is crowded and crowded and you have to queue up. And the breakfast worth NT$990 has too few varieties and the ingredients are cheap. There is only one kind of sausage, and there is not even tomato sauce beans, and then there are no boiled beans. Dried and boiled white bitter melon is really just boiled alone! Hotel is located in the glamorous district of Xinyi. It’s in walking distance to fancy malls and 101 building. From the pictures of the rooms, you can see the hotel has moderately aged but still decently maintained. It’s functional and bright but does not fully adhere to the chic Le Meridien vibe. I wish the management can redesign the hotel to suit it more to the brand during next revamps. My SNA got approved to the junior suite and thank you to the team for assigning a corner suite for my stay. It is the same size as the regular suite but closer to look at the 101 building. However it may have some noise from the bar right outside and some events down on the street. Luckily it only lasted until before 11pm which is totally reasonable. The bathroom however, is gigantic. It’s nearly too big that wasted some space. I do not like the breakfast option in this hotel as it does not taste good. The options are not that much and most are really mediocre. I hope they can improve their F&B if I visit next time. The lounge is also very small. It’s easily full and the bar /snack area is tiny, same as the Renaissance. The lackluster food and self served cocktails are a let down for the premium price tag, pricing at almost the same as the W nearby. The pool is big and good for lap swims. However, I believe there are many locals joining the health club in the hotel which makes the already tiny hot bath area cramped and wet towels everywhere. People are also taking so loudly which kills the vibe. I immediately walked out as it is not relaxing at all. All in all despite the letdowns, I still think it is worth a visit due to its location, functional rooms and friendly service.

The hotel was almost walking distance to tourist attractions, shopping malls and even night markets. The services of the hotel staffs especially the front desk reception were attentive and courteous. You can even do your own laundry free with detergents provided at the hotel laundry room. We enjoyed our stay very much with our rooms view of Taipei 101. Mrt and bus station were just beside use hotel. Big improvement since my last stay before covid-19. Keep it up. Will be back again.

The staff at CHECKinn were exceptional. From the warm welcome at check-in to their helpful recommendations for local dining and sightseeing, they truly went above and beyond. Their attention to detail and genuine care for guests’ comfort stood out. The cleanliness of the hotel was impeccable. The housekeeping team did a fantastic job maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout my stay, which was particularly reassuring in these times. While the hotel excels in style, the amenities are somewhat basic. The complimentary Wi-Fi was reliable, and the lounge area was cozy and welcoming. However, I missed having a fitness center or a pool, which could be a downside for some travelers. In terms of value, CHECKinn is a clear winner. It was the most affordable option near the Taipei International Convention Center, without compromising on quality or comfort. For budget-conscious business travelers, it’s a perfect choice.

It’s my second time staying in this hotel. The location is convenient as it’s nearby to a number of large shopping malls and the 101 tower. My only complain is about the speed of the hotel free wifi. It’s so slow that I can’t do any normal web browsing no matter at daytime or at night. It’s something that the hotel must improve asap otherwise it will dramatically impact the staying experience of its guests.

This combination is what sets it apart from other hotels. Hotels nearby are either priced higher or along the main streets. Positives: - The team's service and attitude are consistently professional and courteous throughout my entire stay. Everyone was professional. No one came across rude, impatient, or defensive. They thanked me for choosing them and also took responsibility/ownership on things they did not do right the first time. - They took notes on things you said and requested with immediate response or within 24 hours if needed more time. - They practiced active listening, asked clarification questions to ensure what I needed/requested. - Excellent breakfast, full of variety. They kept standard items standard by providing them daily but also added some variety by changing 3-5 dishes. All foods are fresh and prepared on site. - Housekeeping service had great attitude and was efficient in cleaning throughout the entire stay. - They have an elevator. Most hotels in Taiwan have elevators. - They are happy to help moving your luggage upon request. - Excellent hot shower temperature and pressure - Amenities provided in the room is abundant with good quality - They are trustworthy in honoring pre-agreed upon check-in requirements. Before booking this hotel, I asked about the check-in requirements and what I felt comfortable providing and what not. They agreed and executed accordingly. I appreciate how their words and actions are consistent, which is very different from some hotels (Best Western always acted inconsistently, Marriott, Hilton, and IHG hotels are spotty, some are good, and some are bad) in the US and Canada where they said/agreed one things and acted differently when I arrived at the front desk for check-in. Hotel services in Taiwan are generally much better in terms of service attitude and honoring their words. - Effective expectation management and communication - When raising issues, they took it with positive attitude: they always first owned it by providing a sincere apology, tried to solve it immediately. If they couldn't solve it right away, they asked for more time and provided a timeframe on when it would be solved. Throughout my stay, 50% of issues were solved immediately, and 50% were solved within 12 to 24 hours. No issues remained unresolved. - Common areas are always very clean and organized. Negatives: - Not always have people at the front desk to help open the heavy doors. Better to change it to auto-sliding doors. - The elevator carpet is gross and dirty: time to change it. There was a hair hidden underneath the hand towel on first day - raised the issue and they fixed it the next morning. Should not have missed at first place. - There was a dirty blue cup with watermarks all

The hotel room was nice with all the necessities but I would recommend the hotel to invest in an air purifier for the room with no windows.. the air quality inside the room was not good at all and it release a musty smell. The hotel might not new but still nice and clean and i love the design of it. Its quite vintage location was perfect 2 mints walk in mrt Station below is bus stop 10 to 15 mint's away from taipei 101 world trade center its nice to be near in mrt Station as it is very accessible we took train going to the airport and its just took as in total of an hour plus including the interchange as we payed for the taxi from airport to our hotel quite pricy so we decide to take a train to the airport actually its quite easy for all the staff that we've ask for directions is very accommodating. Took train going to the zoo and cable car it was fun. And we are thankful to the hotel staff they might not can't speak and understands English that much but they try their best. They are totally amazing. To the housekeeper who always clean our room even we don't need too provide us a clean towels daily. Our room is just nice room is so much worth it how much we payed for it. There's breakfast provided but felt sorry not to have it as its not halal but we are still greatful and appreciate it. Really recommend this place but if ur looking for a high end hotel like a five star for sure you will complain but for us it's totally good.

It's very special to stay in B1 for the first time. The bed is in the center of the room. The children like it very much and can play games around the bed. It is very convenient to have a laundry room and a water dispenser, and it is also convenient to be right next to the MRT station. It's still a bit cold even after the air conditioner is turned on, and there aren't many choices for breakfast. Maybe it's not because of the weekend.

The building does seem old but the interior and rooms were recently renovated. My only problem was their plumbing in the toilet. It releases a bad odor on certain times but other than that the room is really clean

We stayed at this hotel for our quarantine stay (3+4). This hotel was the highest priced quarantine hotel in Taipei. As Taiwan is moving away from quarantine, it is unclear whether this hotel will remain a quarantine hotel. Provided meals: Three meals were provided. I believe they rotated it somewhat. I would give them 4 stars overall. They were of mid-to-high end quality, but certainly not Michelin star or 5-star hotel restaurant's quality. That is, I had much better at The Regent or The Sheraton Taipei. That said, there was a microwave in the room for one to heat up the meals to a warmer setting as the meals were prepared in bulk at the lobby. They were lukewarm when the meals arrived in our room. It appeared some meals were prepared by the hotel restaurant and others were from outside sources. The meals were *********, Korean, and Japanese focused. If one wants Western foods, then Food Panda or Uber Eats will be what you want. There are expensive local restaurants at Xinyi Districts that you can pay for to get your own food. Check with the hotel on delivery times, I believe that they won't refund the costs of the meals if one chooses not to eat the prepaid meals. Prior to booking the quarantine hotel, they will send one a form to ask for some preferences and/or allergies. There was a toaster and hot water boiler in the room. The drip coffee and tea packets were super flavorful and refilled (via Line or other means of contact) during our stay. In fact, most contacts were done remotely during the quarantine period. Room: This is what one is paying for in this place if one is stuck here for 8 days (landing day is Day 0). The bed and beddings were super comfortable. The bed was a full king, My room was in the smaller side, but sufficient for two people and eight pieces of luggage. The room was super clean. We know, because we tried wiping some areas and found them to be stainless. We also noticed, via the peephole, that housekeeping took over two hours to deep clean our neighbor's room - including the use of what appeared to be an ultraviolet wand to clean some service areas. There was a clothes-wire in the bathroom if one needed to do handwash laundry during the quarantine stay. Unfortunately, the hotel didn't provide any detergent, but we used the provide soap, The bathroom was large with rain showerhead available. The toilet was a bit too high up off the floor for us as we are around 5 ft 8 inches but flushed well. If one's room faced south or east, one would get a good view of Taipei 101. The south side would get a full view, and east side (our room) got the view from the couch in the ”living room” area. The TV was pretty large and we could watch it from our bed comfortably. The only complaint, if any, was that it didn't have as many international channels for this high-end hotel. I wanted Bloomberg, but nothing was offered. Not even CNBC. The WiFi was very fast.
