"We stayed in Ma’ara. The views were magical, the handmade furniture beautiful, the facilities and equipment provided excellent and the staff attentive and caring. Cleaning was regular and thorough. Highly recommended as long as you don’t need aircon. We ate two dinners there (not available every night). Both toothsome!"

"Stayed 3 nights in the new Reva Hotel after spending 4 nights in another nearby and similarly priced hotel in Papeete. The room price at Reva did not reflect just how basic the room was. No fridge, no bottled water provided, no tissues provided, room not serviced once in 3 days, had to request fresh towels. Staff are helpful and friendly. In summary, a new hotel that looks shiny but has a lot to learn. Unable to recommend in terms of price or quality."

"We decided not to stay in the heart of Tahiti but to venture up to Tahiti-Iti and stay at this wonder villa. It did not disappoint. Very authentic and very friendly. I do have several recommendations. First, rent a car at the airport or port before you come. You must have a car here, nothing is walkable. The gracious hosts took us to get a car, but it is not a service they do. There is a Carrefour just a couple of miles away. The other thing, if you are bothered by bugs, bring bug spray. They provide the burner, an electric contraption, and a handheld bug zapper. The only room under AC is the bedroom, so there are bugs in all other rooms. The pool and beach are amazing. We loved the open-air concept of living. The kitchen had everything we needed—a great place to unwind. The Olympics were held just down the road. We drove around on all the roads, except the one that goes through the mountain. They suggest a 4-wheel drive for that. The other odd thing is they do not have a reception, so you need to know the NAME of your villa and just go to that villa. No need to check in; they will come by in a bit and welcome you."

"Overall this was a very good hotel. We got a great rate through Trip.com for an ocean view room and the room faced both the pool and ocean. We went right after Christmas and although busy for the holiday etc. the resort itself did not feel as though it was at full capacity. We only stayed one night as we were leaving for Moorea the next morning (which in my opinion is a much nicer island) and only a quick 30 min fast ferry ride. The resort is very conveniently located across the street next to a large grocery store and small food court with great food and accessible through a 3-min walkway bridge from hotel (I only found out about this through TripAdvisor lol). Great way to save some money on meals and drinks etc. The hotel is a quick 10 min cab ride to the ferry in one direction and 15 min to the airport in the other direction. There really wasn’t anything wrong with the hotel other than that it was just basic. Updated rooms but nothing fancy and the only downside is that there isn’t anything to do on property etc. unlike some other resorts where you can actually paddle board, kayak, or snorkel on-site. Either way, the resort did its job, customer service was excellent, pool was a great size (substantial to swim in) and super clean, property was beautiful and clean in the lobby areas and we’d stay again in transit to the other islands."

"The accommodation does not match the advertisement at all. The shared bathroom is dirty, the outdoor toilets are in poor condition, there are no mosquito nets on the windows, and you can hear other guests talking or snoring all night. The old living room has been converted into a dormitory, which makes the common areas too small for the number of rooms. I traveled with a toddler and was unable to sleep due to the noise and lack of comfort. The description is misleading: Mahana Park beach is 500 m away, not 200 m, and PK18 is 1.2 km away. Very disappointed, I do not recommend this establishment. No solution offered despite my report to ***********."
