Hotel Hacienda del Conde Melia Collection Golf & Spa – Adults Only ★★★★★

"We recently stayed at Hacienda del Conde and found many things to like — the property is immaculate, housekeeping excellent, and the quality of the toiletries, towels, and bedding first-class. The buffet restaurant also offered a very good variety and quality of food. However, our room was located on the lowest level of the hotel with a poor view, and there was no help with luggage on arrival. That said, while we were at golf, my wife did later receive helpful assistance in getting our luggage to room 326. The golf shuttle was also unavailable when needed. What stood out most was the lack of warmth and visible management. Staff were courteous and hardworking, but there was no one greeting guests at the restaurant or providing direction — surprising for a 5-star Meliá property. We shared our feedback directly with the Guest Experience Manager and copied in the General Manager, but received no meaningful acknowledgment from senior management, which was disappointing given our long-standing loyalty to the brand. This is a beautiful property in an exceptional setting, but it would benefit greatly from stronger, more visible leadership to bring out its full potential and deliver the warm, personal service that usually defines Meliá hotels."

"I gave two stars as I was shocked by the rudeness of the owner on my arrival. I’d chosen this place for its the reported friendliness of the hosts as I was travelling alone. Having read all of the glowing reviews and after receiving emails saying ‘any problems or questions, do just get in touch’, I felt on arrival at 9pm, having been travelling since 6am, the host wouldn’t mind me ringing the bell there on the front door. There were still plenty of people out and about in the town. However, the host leaned over the balcony and shouted down at me that I should have received full instructions on how to get in via email. He was clearly angry and apologizing, I started looking for the email as he was saying ‘look at your emails’. He then shouted down ‘look at me while I’m talking to you’. It was not a pleasant welcome to say the least. When I’d got inside, I met my room mate who (unprompted by me), said the host had been a nightmare to her. In the morning, he laid down the law about how to wash up etc and then placed a massive ring binder on the table and told me to read it! In general, he made an effort to be polite after this which I did appreciate. This host is clearly very keen on cleanliness, order and rules. Come here for somewhere spotless but not for cosy, relaxed or welcoming."

"A calm and peaceful place to stay away from any hustle and bustle. The staff couldn’t be more helpful. We had a number of delicious evening meals. We particularly enjoyed the textures (not at all rubbery) and flavours of the Calamari main course. Some of our favourite meals in the Canaries were eaten here."

"The truth is that a very good stay, it is immense and very complete. When you arrive you have free parking and directly to the elevator and your apartment. The place is well located in the area, and super complete (kitchenware, towels, paper, garbage bags, appliances...) Very good cleaning, I would repeat without hesitation Advice, very close for breakfast, San Bernardo cafeteria, family atmosphere, nuy good and unbeatable prices."

"This hotel is in a beautiful location and the entrance when you arrive is truly lovely. We had the El Patio suite and this room is lovely with amazing views over the Banana fields. The bed was super comfortable and a lovely place to wake up in the morning (being so quiet). The food in the hotel was very nice with the breakfast being adequate. There is a restaurant you can walk to at the top of the road but keep in mind they only take cash. The hotel beach is worth a visit but keep in mind it there is no sand but the vista is spectacular. If you want to go into town get the hotel to book a taxi for you and remember to ask wherever you are visiting to book a taxi to take you back as there are no taxis in the town itself."

"Boutique hotel. Lovely rooms. Daily cleaning and towel changes. It has a super roof terrace overlooking the sea. The owner and staff were very helpful. Stayed here for 6 nights. It's a small hotel. I think 14 rooms but owner managed. Breakfast more than adequate."
