Hotel Astoria
Costa Smeralda
"We chose a stay at The Costa Smeralda hotel in Syvota(on the mainland of Greece, north of Parga, not in Lefkada as location on this site suggests) having reviewed the location, feedback from other guests and star rating. We drove through beautiful Syvota town down a narrow windy lane arriving at the property. The property is made up of individual blocks of 4 rooms - 2 rooms x on the ground floor and 2 x rooms up a very narrow and steep staircase above. For travellers with mobility issues, this is definitely not a good choice of hotel for this reason and multiple other staircases to other levels of the hotel. The location of the property is good and as per the images. The hotel does have a great vista. However, sadly, it all ends there. Upon arrival we were directed by a member of cleaning staff to a small dirty shack / shed at the car park entrance gate. This was the hotel reception?! Our rooms weren’t ready, but the first check in agent offered to keep our bags and suggested we enjoy some lunch whilst we waited. We descended x3 staircases to a small bar / restaurant for a very basic lunch menu consisting of a Greek salad / cheese and ham toasties / toasted sandwiches & a basic pizza. The lunch was acceptable but nothing special. Along our way down, we noticed poorly covered drains, litter (cigarette butts etc) and a general lack of care and attention. A camouflage covered caravan weirdly sat in one public space. There were boxes and empty bottles piled everywhere. We then proceeded to the pool and, upon further inspection, noticed dirt, hair and debris and a layer of green slime on the tiles. The water appeared quite murky. There wasn’t any way I was going to put the kids in the pool. The loungers all around were all chipped of paint and my daughter’s chair was broken and dangerous. We reviewed the rooms after this and were quite taken aback at how small, pokey and basic they were. The hotel was marketed as a 4 *? They’re furnished to a low standard - perhaps as one might expect from a 2 * property. The furniture was functional but quite old fashioned. It proved very difficult for two people to manoeuvre around one another, never mind with two suitcases. Lugging these up and down a narrow, steep staircase was quite a challenge! The bathroom was no different- small, basic and a little musty / smelly. Otherwise it was clean. We decided after reviewing all this to check out. We spoke to the receptionist - who claimed her name was “Zoe”, the reservations manager. When contacted by *********** a few hours later she admitted to remembering us, told them her name was Celia and she was just a reception agent. This lady (whomever she was) was a quite possibly the rudest member of staff I have ever come across. After stating our reasons for an early checkout, she refused to allow us to leave without full payment for the overnight stay and when we refused because the hotel was in a very bad state and that we’d not even used our rooms, she bec"

Elix, Mar-Bella Collection
"We have recently returned from the Elix, Mar-Bella Hotel and overall had a very positive experience. The hotel enjoys a fantastic beachfront location surrounded by stunning scenery, with beautiful views across the sea towards Paxos and Antipaxos. The bars, restaurants, and pool areas are all stylishly designed and perfectly positioned to make the most of the views and are immaculately kept. The front office and customer relations staff were friendly, polite, and informative throughout the check-in process. We stayed in a Panoramic Suite with a private pool on an all-inclusive basis, and it was superb — spacious, comfortable, immaculately clean, and with breathtaking views. Credit must go to the housekeeping team, who maintained the room and hotel to a very high standard throughout our stay. Breakfast offered a wide variety of good-quality options. However, while the staff were always friendly and hardworking, service across most restaurants and bars sometimes felt stretched and understaffed. On several occasions, the team appeared under pressure and not fully supported, which affected the overall polish of the service. The exception was the Pearl restaurant, where the staff were consistently professional, efficient, and attentive. Overall, the hotel itself, the accommodation, and the staff all deserve high praise. The only area needing improvement is staffing levels and training, which feels more like a management issue than a reflection on the employees themselves. Many staff members appeared stressed and overworked, and additional support would allow them to provide the warmer, more polished service to go with the hotel’s excellent setting and which it deserves. The location, comfort, and overall hotel experience certainly merit five stars but the staffing issues especially in the main restaurant and bar unfortunately loses one of them."
Stavrodromi Hotel
Angelika Pallas Hotel
"Arriving from Athens by bus, we were truly fortunate to be able to find two rooms; a taxi from the bus station cost only 5 euros. The location is fantastic for convenience, as we need to catch the ferry to Brindisi; I'd give it 5 stars for that. In the immediate vicinity—about 30 meters—there's a travel agency, pharmacy, tobacconist, three tavernas, and two bars. It's an unpretentious hotel, albeit dated, but convenient for a stopover. Breakfast is poor, with plastic cups. Again, not for a vacation, but for catching the ferry, there's nothing better, so don't expect much. Forewarned is forearmed."
Coralli Hotel
"Beautiful seafront hotel, spotlessly clean, large rooms, and everything you could need. Family-run, perfect service, and delicious meals. Every day you could ask for what you wanted, and Maria would prepare it with love. We can't wait to return."

Sivota Seascape Luxury Villas & Residences
"The place is beautiful. There are several beaches to choose from. At that moment, the sea was like a swimming pool. Ideal to go with children. The center and the marina are beautiful. It's worth going every afternoon. The people there are very friendly and willing to help at all times. The accommodation options are varied. A great place to vacation"
Aqua Oliva Resort Syvota
"This is a hotel which management have abandoned their duties. There are many signs of poor to zero maintenance. The AC filter in our room had not been cleaned and the room therefore stunk of old cigarette smoke. The grassed areas surrounding the walkways were long and unkept, the pools, notwithstanding numerous complaints on this platform, although sparkling clear the walls and side tiles where covered in green algae and slimy to the touch even the safety foot pads on the steps were missing. The hotel is very obviously short staffed so although the staff are pleasant and extremely helpful there are just not enough personnel to even begin to supply the service expected in a 4 star establishment. The breakfast was not great and again did not represent a 4 star establishment. All in all the hotel is in a great position and has the potential to be a good family hotel but there is a lot of work and commitment required by management before it will be rated a descent resort hotel."

"Great beach friendly stuff the food was excellent even the cocktails were fire all in all it was a great experience so far definitely coming again."
Mövenpick Resort Agios Nikolaos Sivota
"Another memorable stay at Mövenpick Agios Nikolaos Sivota. Although most of the staff were new to the team this year the same high standards of service were in evidence from the front desk staff, the waiting staff, the guys at the Skipper’s Bar, the lifeguards, the cleaning team & the grounds maintenance guys (apologies if I left anyone out). Everyone went the extra mile to ensure we had a fantastic stay, thank you all so much. It always feels like we are coming home each time we stay. Just one item of feedback this time - the minibar. The policy is that the minibar is stocked on arrival, the use of these items is complimentary & any additional items thereafter are chargeable. This is a perfectly acceptable (& indeed welcome) policy however when we stayed in June 25 the minibar was stocked with 2 small bottles of wine, 2 bottles of fruit juice & 2 cokes. By our return visit in September 25, the wine had disappeared (with the excuse when I queried it that it was because it was a family hotel). This year the offering was derisory, consisting of only 3 items -1 coke & 2 bottles of fruit juice. When I queried the paltry selection at the desk my mild complaint was met only with repeated statements that these items were free to me (the inference being I should be happy I got anything at all). In fact that point is arguable in that the pricing structure no doubt incorporates these ‘free’ items. I would suggest that Movenpick review this minibar policy. It would honestly be better not to provide any initial complimentary items rather than the current miserly provision. Rather than being a nice start to the holiday it left us feeling somewhat short-changed. That aside we thoroughly enjoyed our stay & look forward to our next visit."
Prima Vista Boutique Hotel & Spa
"Spacious room with all the facilities and fantastic view from balcony. Service was great, the baggey takes you anywhere you wanna go if you do not prefer walking, the guys at the breakfast and restaurant very polite and good. The food was great too and you could eat close to the pool so you do not need to go very far from the pool-beach area. Beach was perfect no words to describe it, peaceful and calming. Location perfect 7 min by car to Sivota. Highly recommend for calming and comfortable vacations"

Hotel Elina
"We had a wonderful time from all points of view. From June 7th to 30th. Room with all services, cleaned every day. Well maintained beach service. Friendly and welcoming staff. Excellent and plentiful food. Perfectly managed by the family to whom we thank them for their maximum availability. Best regards. Giuseppe and Tina"
Panorama Botsaris Apartments
"Lovely hotel. We stayed in a three room apartment and had a very large balcony with a great view of the pool, harbor, and town. The kitchen could have been a little bigger, but it was fine. We had some difficulty getting hot water from the tap. The pool area was small, but the pool was lovely and there were comfortable sun loungers. The reception was only open for one hour a day, but at other times we were able to get help from the housekeeping staff instead. This is not a hotel for guests with mobility issues, as there are many stairs throughout the property and a steep hill leading up to the hotel."
