Hotel Doralba Inn Chichen ★★★

"A Solid Base for Exploring Chichen Itza From Cancun Airport to Hotel/Chichen Itza: -Cancun Airport to Cancun Downtown by ADO bus, cost 180 Mexican Pesos, time 35mins. (1st bus starts at 7.50AM). Tickets can be bought at the time of departure. -Cancun Downtown to Hotel/Chichen Itza by bus, cost 280 Mexican Pesos per person, time 4hrs. -Chichen Itza ticket cost 671 Mexican Pesos (can be bought at the time of visit). We recently stayed at Hotel Doralba and found it to be a very good choice for visiting the famous ruins. The property is very large and spacious, which is great for families. The highlight for us was the swimming pool area, which has a dedicated section for children and a separate, larger pool for adults. Our room was cleaned daily and was always tidy and comfortable. For the price, we felt it offered excellent value. A few important things to note for future guests: · Location & Transportation: The hotel is within walking distance to the ruins(2km walk). For Taxi, It is about a 5km drive away. We used a taxi which was readily available and cost 100 Mexican pesos for a one-way trip. · Dining Options: Be aware that there are no restaurants or shopping centers near the hotel. At hotel you have very few option that also non veg. As vegetarians, we were a little worried, but the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. They even arranged to have extra vegetable dishes brought in from outside—a incredibly kind and thoughtful gesture that we truly appreciated. Suggestion: Do not forgot to bring your own extra food too."

Hotel Mundo Maya Chichén Itzá ★★★★

📍 Chichén Itzá, Tinum

"Stayed here for 3 nights and it was a great experience from start to finish. Specially when you get to wake up to El Castillo from your room and be surrounded by so much greenery all the time! And with a fantastic large pool! There were very few people and it's so close to Chichen Itza and it took us 3 mins to get to the new entrance at 8am and we were done by 11 and picked up by the shuttle for 100 pesos for 2 pax. Everything went so well, including the free pickup and drop to the Tren Maya station, to the room service, and to the people in the property always with a smile and happy to help (except for one disinterested lady at the reception). We ordered room service all days and liked everything we consumed, except for the grilled chicken which felt too dry sometimes. The breakfast dishes were also quite good. Would definitely recommend!"

Mayan Bungalow Near Chichén ★★★

📍 Calle 16 x 19 num 1, Xcalacoop

"Don Luis is wonderful and so welcoming—the breakfast was good, the place is as described, and he was very helpful with directions etc. We did get some mosquito bites, which is to be expected when in the jungle, but they weren’t too bad and there are mosquito nets over the beds. Would return!"

Villas Arqueologicas Chichen Itza ★★★
"The room is very stylish and feels like it has been there for quite some time. The frogs in the sewers croaked loudly in the middle of the night, their voices were so huge that it was a bit scary. The Wifi signal in the room is weak and you need to stand at the door to strengthen it; the shower head has a small amount of water; breakfast needs to be bought separately and the portion is small; there is only one bottle of water and you need to buy an extra bottle. The bedroom has two beds, one large and one small. The mattresses are of suitable firmness and can accommodate three people. However, the air conditioner blows directly on the large bed, making a bit of noise."

Hotel Mundo Maya Chichén Itzá ★★★★
"The hotel is an absolute gem—brand new and impeccably maintained! Don’t let the 1km unpaved access road intimidate you (we were at first); as you approach, the stunning building emerges like a sparkling reward at the end of the tunnel! 😀 One side offers a glimpse of the Mayan pyramid’s peak—pure magic! The other side overlooks the spacious pool and lush gardens. No matter your room’s view, you’re in for a treat. All the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Room service is a steal—totally worth it. The pool is inviting, though the water felt just a touch chilly to me."

"We were scheduled to stay at another hotel (through Trip.com) which ended up being closed down. Rather than simply refund our money, Trip.com was VERY helpful and offered to secure another place for us, at their own expense. SO, we ended up at Hacienda Chichen. I have no words for it. The most serene, other-worldly, back to nature, classy, historic place I think I have ever visited. Exquisite is the best word for it. The grounds, the rooms, the pool, the food; it was truly a SANCTUARY. If you want a place to completely restore your soul and sense, choose Hacienda Chichen. Nothing else compares."
