"Excellent location where hotel provide buggy services from room to any location inside the resort. Staff were all friendly and helpful with our needs. Delivering of items when we requesting also very timely. Reception counter also provide snorkelling, diving, and other water sports booking with reasonable charges. Renting of equipment also available if needed. However, the sofa appeared to be a bit dusty below the cushion. Ants were seen inside the toilet sink. Otherwise the experience will be even more better."

"The location is in the quaint non touristy ABC village frequented exclusively by backpackers and French families. You will need to carry your baggage to the accommodation on a rough busy narrow pathway frequented by motorbike traffic upon arrival and for departure. It will cost you a minimum of 20 ringgit to go anywhere on the island by motorbike taxi or 40 ringgit to catch a water taxi so be prepared to eat the same poor quality sometimes fetid food in sweltering conditions at a limited number of restaurants in the village. Do not expect any induction at the resort unless you are not undertaking a dive course. The admin staff who checked me in didn’t even know that I had breakfast included in my rate which incidentally is served in a nearby restaurant. Don’t expect access to the pool which is the exclusive domain of the divers. You will not be allowed to join the dive resort boats if you wish to go snorkeling. Rather, you will be referred to one of two spurious snorkelling tour operators Restu Chalet and ABC chalet where the boats will be crammed full of people exceeding the licensed limits and where the boatmen will take zero safety steps to ensure your passenger safety or compliance with maritime regulations. In my case I received no support getting in and out of the boat in medium to heavy seas and was abandoned whilst snorkelling on a reef at the last stop when the captain moved the boat to the shore to party alongside a boat full of scantily clad backpackers. I ended up with heat stroke and spent the following day reporting regulatory breaches to the authorities."

"You can tell the quality of the accommodation by the variety of the breakfast. The staff were very helpful, although the location is quite limiting as there's nothing to do outside of the hotel. Excursions and activities are quite expensive. The hotel beach isn't the best we've seen."

"Great place for a family vacay week with a nice pool, right on the beach, ok restaurant and easy to get to. We had bungalow AA2 and there were bedbugs in two out of three beds which was a little annoying."

"On September 22, we checked in at Juara Ocean Chalet around 2 p.m. and spent a relaxing afternoon by the beach, enjoying the peaceful island atmosphere. In the evening, we had a delicious seafood dinner at a local restaurant, featuring fresh fish and prawns. The next morning, my child and I joined an exciting boat trip covering five snorkeling spots, where we saw colorful coral reefs and tropical fish. After returning to shore, we enjoyed a simple yet flavorful Malay lunch and relaxed by the sea for the rest of the day."
