Hotels near Gōtokuji Station, Tokyo

It is close to my parents' elderly facilities and my sister's family, so I use 々. This is the only hotel I want in a perfect location. The front desk and the attitude and speed to deal with the problem are great, but I feel the aging of the building facilities. Especially air conditioner. The hotel was very big have multiple towers for guests to stay in. The location was also very convenient and very close to the train station. One improvement point is the staff at lobby was not too polite. While the housekeeping staff were quite nice and also greet all the guests that pass by their cart. The room was okay but old so have a bad smell and things were torn out due to the age.

Hotel is situated at a very assessable location, at the cross roads of JR and 2 more lines. There is plenty of food and shopping around and even some.small sightseeing places in the hotel itself like the aquarium. However, room was very little, the toilet even ser. However for this price and location it's really value for money.

Until 3 days ago, the FS on Koh Samui was in a terrible eye. Centrally located but not easy to find if it's your first time as it's not located at ground level. So far this is the only hotel (out of a total of 4 hotels for my trip) that comes with international AC socket. There are amenities located within the building (various restaurants and convenience stall). Smoking facilities available @ level 6, however, it's a small booth (instead of open-air) type which may stink up your clothing if there are multiple smokers at the same instance.

A very vibrant hotel especially during the night, a large desk for working at the lobby, however the room space was too small, once the luggage was opened there wasnt any room to walk. Cleanliness is superb, the bed and pillow was comfortable. Downside is too far walking from Shinjuku station.

Before moving to the country, I chose this hotel because the price of the local and kichijoji hotels was high. It was convenient to connect directly to the station. The front desk staff was also nice, the room was clean and I was able to stay in the corner room away from the elevator as I wanted in advance. The bathtub was a little deep, and it was good to take a bathing agent behind the front desk and take a bath slowly. The breakfast of this business hotel is good, and there are many buffet styles of dishes, but it was good to have a breakfast made on the second floor. I want to use it if I have another chance.

The hotel is centrally located and I think that’s basically the sole reason I may consider staying at it again. Checking in was smooth (thanks to the HK colleague seconded from Ritz Carlton HK), and other than that, I think your hotel staff needs re-training, especially the concierge team! Terrible service and clueless! My friends who were also traveling were not as lucky at check-in. One wasn’t able to get his room at 6pm and was asked to wait (20 mins), and when he finally got his key, he went into the room where someone was already in it. Who could expect this kind of mistake happened in a “modern luxury hotel”? My other friend nearly traumatized trying to check-in with a staff who can’t really speak English and don’t understand what “confirmation number” means. To me, the only disappointment was no upgrade at all even I was a Titanium member then. But well, I of course understand it is “subject to availability”. Hotel itself and its location is superb and definitely create a modern luxury feeling. But I’m staying in a HOTEL and HOSPITALITY and SERVICE should be the most important. And Edition Tokyo fails in all aspect, and maybe this is how you want to create a “lasting memory”? The short lady at the concierge was rude and impolite. When I was trying to ask about the timetable of the airport bus and where the stop is, she simply said why don’t you check it online cos you need to use your credit card and book anyway! I cannot believe this kind of service in Japan, let alone at a 5-star Marriot managed hotel. In the end I let my friend to handle it and she told me she talked to 3 different concierge colleagues and each gave a different answer, in the end it had to escalate up to the duty manager to get a concrete response on how to take the airport bus to Narita. Crazy! Then on separate occasions we went to the lobby bar. We requested to sit by the window and the waiter there said “it is reserved” on every occasion. In the end of course the sofa by the window was empty (and on one occasion it was empty till the bar was closed). I got annoyed and asked for the restaurant manager and I said “if you need a minimum spending just say so, why you have to put us at the bar table?” She said she would look into it and of course no one has yet to give us a good reason why is it the case. And service at the bar was appalling and to a certain extent I would even use “racist” to put it. As a Titanium with Marriot Bonvoy and a Globalist with World of Hyatt, I must say I made a terrible mistake staying at Tokyo Edition. I am sure I would receive better treatment and a better holiday experience if I stay at Andaz Tokyo which is across the street!

We stayed 2 nights in Hotel Sunroute Plaza Shinjuku and checked out & left our bigger luggages at the hotel conceige as we would like to travel light to other city to visit our friend (staying in Japan) for 2 nights. We came back to stay again with Hotel Sunroute Plaza Shinjuku after the short trip. There are also storages at Subway/train station with fee charges apply to store your luggage according to the sizes and storage duration.
