"Wir wollten uns ein schönes Abendessen leisten und wurden an der Außenbar des Hotels auf ein "All you can eat"-Buffet für 30 € pro Person aufmerksam gemacht. Bei diesem Preisniveau in Bovec geht man als Gast berechtigterweise von einer sehr guten Qualität aus. ​Leider entsprach die Realität in keiner Weise dem Preis oder der Ankündigung. Was uns als tolles Buffet verkauft wurde, entpuppte sich schlichtweg als die Überbleibsel des regulären Abendessens für die Hausgäste. Anstatt frischer Speisen fanden wir die abgeweideten Reste vor, die eigentlich schon abgeräumt gehörten. ​Wer 30 € pro Person verlangt, muss auch entsprechend abliefern. Diesen Umgang mit externen Gästen empfinde ich als stark irreführend und es grenzt an Touristenabzocke. Ich kann andere Urlauber nur dringend davor warnen, dieses "Angebot" anzunehmen. Geht für das Geld lieber in eine der vielen guten lokalen Gostilnas im Ort. ​We wanted to treat ourselves to a nice dinner and were drawn to an "all you can eat" buffet for €30 per person at the hotel's outdoor bar. At this price point in Bovec, a guest justifiably expects very good quality. ​Unfortunately, reality did not match the price or the pitch in any way. What was sold to us as a great buffet turned out to be nothing more than the leftovers of the regular dinner for the hotel guests. Instead of fresh food, we found picked-over remains that really should have been cleared away. ​Anyone charging €30 per person needs to deliver accordingly. I find this treatment of outside guests highly misleading, and it borders on a tourist rip-off. I strongly warn other vacationers against taking them up on this "offer". For that money, you are much better off going to one of the many good local gostilnas in town. Želeli smo si privoščiti lepo večerjo in na zunanjem baru hotela so nas opozorili na samopostrežni bife "all you can eat" za 30 € na osebo. Pri takšni ceni v Bovcu gost upravičeno pričakuje zelo visoko kakovost. ​Žal pa realnost nikakor ni ustrezala ne ceni ne obljubam. Kar so nam prodali kot odličen bife, se je izkazalo zgolj za ostanke redne večerje za hotelske goste. Namesto svežih jedi smo naleteli na prebrane ostanke, ki bi jih pravzaprav morali že pospraviti. ​Kdor zaračuna 30 € na osebo, mora ponuditi temu primerno raven. Takšen odnos do zunanjih gostov se mi zdi močno zavajajoč in meji na odiranje turistov. Druge dopustnike lahko le resno opozorim, naj ne sprejmejo te "ponudbe". Za ta denar raje pojdite v katero izmed številnih dobrih lokalnih gostiln v kraju."

"The hotel can be found at the entrance of the village, with generous private parking next to the building (free of charge for guests). The historic building is beautifully and thoughtfully restored, with a lot of attention to detail. As you get in, you will find friendly and helpful reception staff; as they also cover the terrace bar, you might need to ring the bell. The rooms are on the upper two floors and can be reached by an elevator. The spacious rooms with balcony feature a beautiful view onto the mountains (the only shortfall: no umbrellas / shading provided); for those staying in rooms that don’t have the view, there is a common terrace that features similar views (only one floor down…), and an extensive garden (a further floor down). The rooms also feature a spacious wardrobe, a minibar, and even some sockets with USB outlets; they have no desk, but rather two armchairs and a small side / coffee table. The WiFi worked well in the room (less so on the terrace). I wonder how many guests made a picture of the bathrooms, where again a lot of attention was paid to bring retro features alive – when was the last time you bathed in a free-standing bathtub that seems to be from the last century? The bathroom has space for two, and a whole cupboard for your toiletries (if you figure out how to open it…). A downside of the retro details: despite the curtain, showering in the bathtub (not comfortable anyway, with nothing to hold the shower head) leaves the room flooded. The beds are comfortable (slept very well), with two pillow types; it is blissfully silent at night – you wake up to the sound of birds. Some of the windows feature roller shutters; the curtains on the others are heavy but translucent, so don’t fully keep the daylight out. Good breakfast is included in the room charge, and served in the beautiful wintergarden; some homemade stuff is on offer, eggs and coffee made freshly for you. The check-out is earlier than usual (10 am), but you can sit on the terrace until you leave."

"This is a very nice hotel and to be honest probably deserves a higher rating. So why did I only give it 3 stars. Firstly, the positives. The hotel is quite new. The staff a really friendly. There is free parking right outside. The hotel is in a quiet dead-end road. However, the hotel calls itself and prices itself as a 4-star hotel. I'm not sure I'd agree. The rooms are nice and new, however are really quite small. You access all the rooms via external stairs. Pouring rain, snow or cold and climbing two flights of external stairs - I'm not sure they'd be so much fun. Breakfast isn't included in the price. But mostly the price. The hotel is really quite expensive (compared to other hotels in area). And I'm just not convinced the price of the hotel is justified. If the price was lower, I'd rate higher - for what you're getting or what you could get for the same price."

"We chose the apartment because, despite the higher price, it offered a sauna and hot tub. We asked to leave an hour later and left the additional €15 in cash in the mailbox. Why two stars: the sauna took over 30 minutes to heat up to 50°C. But above all, because the cleaning lady arrived at 11:29/11:30 (paid for by adding an hour until 11:30), and at 11:35 the next guests entered the house with the keys! We wrote to the host that we were leaving, explaining what had happened in the past five minutes, and instead of apologizing, he said it was our fault for being five minutes late. In fact, we wouldn't have been late if we hadn't been busy trying to justify ourselves to whoever entered the house with the keys without even knocking. If I have to feel guilty for five minutes on vacation..."
