"Hotel? Or at best, a ryokan? My personal impression is that they took my luggage before I checked in, but I can understand putting a suitcase directly on the floor, but I've never put a shoulder bag on the floor outside. The lobby was also open, and the old man at the front desk was very surprised that the room was left directly on the floor even though shoes were worn, and the room was left directly on the floor until I checked in... And the lobby was air-conditioned, but the hallway on the guest floor was not. The room had a new air conditioner, but I didn't use the bath in the room because I was going to take a bath in the hot spring once, but the toilet and bathroom were together, but the toilet was not cleaned well, and it smelled of urine from the time I checked in, and since it was a unit bath that could be flushed, I wish they would clean it properly because it was so smelly that I had to hold my nose when I went to the toilet. The place was old and there was mold here and there, and it seemed like they were just barely open for business with some maintenance. The location was pretty convenient, so that was a good thing."

"This time I chose a hot spring hotel by the sea. The room felt spacious, clean, and comfortable. I picked it because it just opened in 2024. Although the breakfast selection wasn't extensive, it was very appealing. You can see the ocean right from the window, and you can even rent snorkeling gear from the hotel for snorkeling nearby. The only thing I felt wasn't up to par was the cleanliness of the hot spring area itself. I hope they can improve that next time."

"Overall the location was great and there was a direct sea view from most of the rooms and the onsen. Some of the facilities are slightly dated. Whilst it is very costly, i do feel overall that stay was still within expectations. The biggest disappointment for me was the dinner where the steam fish served was not as fresh. Despite the feedback provided to the hotel, they could not do any service recovery and simply kept repeating that they could not do anything. This goes against the great Japanese service I have always encountered everywhere I go in Japan"

"Although it is an old hotel, it has a quaint feel, and the staff was attentive and warm, making it a very nice hotel. We were given a corner room on the 4th floor of the annex building, and it was a nice Japanese-style room with a calm atmosphere reminiscent of the Showa era, with ocean views from two directions.However, the Wi-Fi signal seemed to be unstable except near the front desk. did. I stayed for two nights, and they prepared different meals for both nights, and they even accommodated my last-minute request for additional dishes. The bath was more beautiful in the morning and during the day than at night, and I felt more relaxed. When I go to Oshima again, I would like to stay here again."

"The first time was my first trip to Izu. The hotel we stayed in had an extremely nice environment, although it was an old one. But the facilities and services they provided were really excellent. It's highly recommended. Especially the breakfast, it had everything and was of the buffet type. The only thing to note is that when you make a reservation, you must definitely book the breakfast and dinner. But if you don't get them, there is also very delicious grilled meat nearby. "Excellent view by the sea with no complains. Private "onsen" in room so you can enjoy anytime during the visit. The food is good and that is a lot for both dinner and breakfast. The air-con keep running and stop at night. I undertand that was keep warm indoor but it is a bit noisy at night. The staffs keep up excellent service to every customer and we received a warm goodbye that is out of my expectation. The funny thing there were a lot of aged Japanese customers and I felt that like my retirement trip."

"Reasonable price! The location needs to be farther away! But the hotel is very considerate to arrange a car transfer 👍 soaking in the hot springs is very surprising, can see the sea. There are indoor and outdoor, super great 👍 and you can choose your own kimono, the children are very happy. The room was clean and tidy, our family of six did not feel crowded, very comfortable, good sleep! The dinner was rich and the sashimi was fresh. "I was a little worried about staying alone in a dormitory room, but once I closed the curtains, it was private and I was able to stay comfortably. It was clean, and I was personally happy that there was a freezer in addition to the microwave and refrigerator! One thing that bothered me was that I had heard that the cafe space in front of the front desk was open to guests only in the evening, so I planned to relax and read manga in my pajamas. However, I was bothered by the fact that two men who were not guests suddenly showed up at that time and continued to talk to the young woman at the front desk without ordering anything. What's more, the woman was closing the front desk while talking to her friend on speakerphone (at full volume), which made it very difficult to relax. They seemed like high school students working part-time and still getting used to the place, so I don't think it was the inn's policy, but it didn't have the atmosphere of a local izakaya or a guesthouse where you'd normally socialize, which was disappointing. I guess it's because it's an island that things are more relaxed, but I thought I'd write this review in the hope that they'd improve if I were to stay again."
