"Wonderful setting far from the city in a forested area. Transportation required to get there. Very attractive chalet, roomy wooden chalets on stilts, with stairs to climb. Large deck with wooden tables and chairs. Chalets are spaced well apart for privacy, many trees all around. Interior is spacious, clean, well equipped. Quaint interior with lots of wood. Numerous electrical outlets. Small swimming pool that no one seemed to use. The restaurant had excellent food in a small attractive building next to the pool. The breakfast was unique: A woman would deliver it to each chalet, climbing the stairs to place it on the deck's table. It had a huge variety and quantity of treats: Dates, yogurt, eggs, bread, orange juice, coffee, and more. To eat it all was a long process. I loved it. A major downside was extremely loud "music" came from a neighboring property, lasting for several hours in the middle of the night. No one could sleep. Why didn't the managers call the police? Wifi so weak it was useless, even near the office."

"The owner was fantastic in communicating and addressing our needs. This place is SUPER central and great for the price. Wifi did not reach the room but I already kinda knew this from the reviews and could use it at the downstairs lobby so that wasn't a big problem. I wish the staff/receptionists had better communication among them (e.g. one didnt know I booked a tour, the other didnt know I paid already - leading to some confusions) but overall was a good stay."

"Formerly known as Anantara, this hotel seemed promising: in terms of top-notch infrastructure and amenities, it delivers on its promise of a comfortable and luxurious experience. However, upon closer examination of the experience, some drawbacks emerged: we stayed in a villa with a pool, which was dirty. We found plastic waste, insects, and several other signs indicating that it wasn't cleaned regularly. The staff was very welcoming, but it would have been more pleasant to receive the same treatment from the guest experience manager. We had wanted to try several excursions/experiences offered by the hotel, but after some research, we discovered that the hotel was charging four to five times more. We therefore canceled several experiences except for one. Apparently, this didn't sit well with the guest experience manager, who initially canceled our experience but ultimately, after discussion, agreed to grant it to us. As a guest at a hotel that presents itself as prestigious, it is unacceptable to have to beg for an experience or activity. It is deeply regrettable that this behavior detracts from the overall experience, especially during the off-season when the hotel has more resources and time to provide service that meets expectations. Overall, the hotel is pleasant but lacks entertainment (no music by the pool, no organized evening events, insufficient poolside staff, etc.). I hope these points will be taken into account for the future of this establishment, which has the potential to be excellent."

"We enjoyed two nights at this hotel where rooms are large, quiet and have AC in bedroom. 2 swimming pools (outdoor and indoor), spa, lounge and buffet restaurant. Breakfast was a bit of a disappointment, and dinners busy. Drinks available for purchase at dinner for 5 dinar each. Make sure waiters give you your change! All levels of dress (Western, Muslim). Free wifi was good."

You'll need to leave your car on the street, and to reach it, you'll need to walk about a hundred meters into the medina. The entrance is a black door with a very small sign under a portico, making it a bit difficult to find. I recommend calling ahead to be met at your arrival time."

"My family and I stayed two nights at this lovely Dar. The room and bathroom were very small but clean and tidy. The breakfast was absolutely mediocre. Unfortunately, the morning after our arrival, my son left the charger for his new iPhone plugged in. When we returned from our excursions, it was gone. We politely reported the incident, but the response was: "It's not possible." Too bad the charger doesn't have legs, and we were absolutely certain we'd left it on the desk in the room. Bottom line: my son had no charger, and they didn't even offer any explanation. Someone must have broken into our room and stolen it. I definitely wouldn't return to this Dar."
