"Please be aware that there is no customer service at all here. our reservation was pre paid, and we received a reminder 2 days prior to our arrival. They did not have a room for us. They gave us the room that staff uses, and it was "used and lived in" not cleaned prior to letting us in.. Personal belongings and documents were left in the room as well. Bed was very uncomfortable, as well as the shower. We have reached out to the owners 4 times, and absoultly no response. I would reccomend looking elsewhere."

"You have to check in with a digital code for the front door, there is no real reception at this hotel,we landed at Treviso airport and caught a bus just outside the airport for €5 each,which was very cheap as the cabs were near the €100. From the bus stop in Treviso we had to walk for about 15 minutes to get to the hotel,the roads are not marked clearly . There is no breakfast available (although when my daughter booked through ******* website, it clearly states b and b) at this establishment and there is no food available. Our room was small, it had a roof opening for ventilation and light,with black out curtain,also a/c,tea and coffee making facilities,a small fridge. We bought milk and cereal from a very near supermarket called Pam, it is very reasonably priced with lots of products. As there is no breakfast available, a microwave would be useful in our room number 8. The train and bus stations are within walking distance which takes you to Venice, we used the train for €4 per person one way very good value, we bought return tickets as Venice gets very busy. Our room was made up every day with fresh towels and the tea and coffee was replenished. There are plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. A 25 minutes train journey takes you into Venice. We caught a bus back to Treviso airport from the bus station for €2 Each cheap as chips."

"Clean. Breakfast is fine(if late probably not much option) staffs are friendly and helpful. I stayed without a car so it will be a problem if you plan to visit in the evening. There is no more bus after 8 or 9pm (bus to city center 2 euro and two bus stops nearby). No kettle(tea or coffee) in the room but they have bottled waters with fridge. Single bed is a bit light. But I slept well. Not noisy at night. (It depends on other guests) by car only 10 mins driving."

Gloria at the front desk was extremely helpful with knowledge of buses, trains, taxis,restaurants etc. Early morning traffic meant sleeping with a window open was not an option, breakfast was very good. "I strongly suggest you DO NOT book this hotel. I am in dispute as I write this with them. They charged me for 2 rooms for 2 nights, I never booked 2 rooms. I only booked one room for 2 nights. When we arrived her son welcomed us and clearly asked me if we booked 2 rooms for 2 nights and I said no. I was confused and he said they have been having trouble with booking agent. Never thought anything more about it. When my credit card statement arrived they had charged me for two rooms for 2 nights. I have sent her emails (which she normally answers promptly) but have heard nothing. I have opened a dispute with my credit card company. Her hotel is really nicely decorated but feels a bit odd and unwelcoming as things are very dark and eerily quiet. We were so uncomfortable that we checked out early and stayed at another hotel. I DID expect to pay for that night one room since we did not meet the cancellation agreement. Treviso is a wonderful place to visit but I would highly recommend staying somewhere other than Maison Matilda. I am sorry having to write such a negative review but feel I owe it to my fellow travelers who also rely on the reviews on trip advisor."

"The location was great. Very quick communication from staff before and during visit. Clean towels every day. Very clean. Nice coffee, comfortable bed, excellent air con. Safe included. Microwave and fridge were handy. The hotel was a bit too modern for us and some things were impractical. The coffee machine was too high up and you had to stand on something to reach it. The sink too shallow so water splashed everywhere. Shower was the worst as we could not have one without getting hair wet. Shower cap was just not up to the job. Sheets were not changed during our 4 night stay. Only 1 bottle of water between both of us. Really! How much does a bottle of water cost? Only 4 clothes hangers between 2 of us, although this was quickly remedied as soon as I contacted them as was the soap in dispenser which was completely empty. No view in Room 7 and no natural light. The window looked onto a tiny horrible courtyard and you could not have the curtains open as there was someone sat at there desk right opposite. No instructions on how to use anything, ie safe, air conditioning,  coffee machine, window blinds. Receptionist only works 10 - 4 so not great for those of us arriving later. She did her best when we asked questions but English very limited. Coffee and tea supplied but no milk and coffee from machine not very hot. There was a supermarket nearby which helped and a microwave to heat up the coffee and a small fridge. The frosted glass in the entire bathroom only went to top of my thigh. I felt exposed and it lacked a feeling of privacy. I really would not have liked this if I was in a new relationship."
