Mannings Hotel

Mannings Hotel

📍 82 Lemon St, Truro
★★★★ 8.4 (105 reviews)

"I can't begin to tell you how great the choice of this hotel was. We booked it as was going the the theatre to see the Luther tribute band who were amazing at the Hall for Cornwall. Under a minute from the hotel. There was free parking right in the centre of the town which we managed to arrive early and use this facility. We booked a queen size bed which was huge and very comfortable. The rooms are a tad tired but totally acceptable. The staff in the bar were lovely and accommodating. This went from day and night staff! This is the perfect hotel for shopping in Truro too. Can't wait for our next visit! Fitted in a visit to Truro Cathedral too, truly inspiring! We has a continental breakfast which was acceptable x"

The Rosevine

📍 Rosevine, Portscatho, Truro

"The most wonderfully beautiful and quiet setting, lovely light and airy accommodation and good food and service. The focus is on making the guests feel at home and comfortable…a bit of an anachronism today , when so many hotels are pretentious and so-called style triumphs over comfort, so wonderful to find and enjoy!"

"I recently stayed at the County Arm Hotel and had a very pleasant experience. The cleanliness of the hotel was impeccable, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The pub downstairs was also a highlight, offering great atmosphere and food. The only minor drawback is that the hotel is a bit of a walking distance from the train station. While it should have been very affordable to take a taxi, my driver unfortunately took a detour, increasing the fare unnecessarily. Despite this small inconvenience, I highly recommend the County Arm Hotel for its excellent service, cleanliness, and charming pub."

"Apartment is in the centre of Truro close to everything. It has all the comforts you need for your stay. Check in was smooth via automated keypad. Apartment was clean with refillable soap and shampoo (great to avoid plastic). Cooking hob with induction. Comfy mattress and pillows. There is a pub just a few meters down the road and a fish restaurant next door which might come in handy if you are tired after a hike and just want to chill. Train station approx 15-20min walk. The host answers messages very quickly in case you need any help. "

Elerkey Guest House Hotels in Truro

Elerkey Guest House

"My husband and I just spent a wonderful three nights at Elerkey House. The experience was exceptional... I have never stayed in a B&B, which gave truly 5 star ++. We had the option to stay in a local five star hotel but decided to stay in the B&B as was closer to our friends and we kept saying that we made the right decision and will always stay there when we come to visit our friends. It is run by Ann and her father Harvey, who gave us a fabulous welcome and during our entire stay could not have been more helpful. The rooms were exceptionally clean, the beds were so comfy, my husband commented that it was a long time since he had such a great sleep. They have thought through every detail on the amenties in the room from tea, coffee, shortbread, water, hairdryer, lots of good quality towels, shampoo, shower gel.. TV and free wifi... There is a sitting room where I could go do work calls and zooms. Breakfast is delicious and definitely not to be missed. Cooked by Ann's daughter who is a quality chef... There is a little art gallery on site, lots of parking, lovely garden out front, where we sat one afternoon for a mini picnic... pub across the road, little shop within a few yards... Location - perfect... only a short drive to the beach and easy access to all the little pretty towns... you will not be short of little restaurants and pubs around.. spoilt for choice! Ann, Harvey... thank you so much for your hospitality... we truly felt at home.. and look forward to seeing you all again. Till, then, take care. Emer and Clive"

"We came for the BBQ yesterday and had a lovely time. The atmosphere was really good, and it's a beautiful place for a short break in Cornwall. A special mention to the chefs, who worked incredibly hard all day and never seemed to stop. The young girl serving was also so helpful and did her best to keep everything running smoothly despite how busy it was. She was friendly, attentive and worked really hard. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely recommend a visit."

"Lovely hotel in a decent location to get to via car or train. Hotel is about a 10-12minute walk away from station but be aware the walk is uphill. Food was good, service was good and room was in a very clean and looked after state."
