"This is a nicely renovated, thoughtfully decorated and owner-run hotel. Room was a decent size, air-conditioning not switched on, it seems. Modern bathroom. Mini fridges unfortunately only in rooms with balconies, which is odd. No free water. The elevator is tiny, two people with luggage barely fit. Friendly and accommodating owners. Did not try the breakfast. Pool was too cold in late September (not heated, it seems) and not always clean. Surprisingly, some plane noise even though Nice airport is not close. Spacious underground garage. The main drawback is the location in a cul-de-sac off a pretty busy and not very scenic through-road. There aren't many desirable restaurants within a ten-minute walk, and the shortest route to the beach and its promenade leads through a dirty and horribly smelly underpass below the train tracks. All other ways to the beach are 20 minutes or more to walk. This is a solid option if you have a car or scooter, or are ready to use Bolt/Uber every day, otherwise I would advise against it."

"The hotel was clean and nice, offering good value for money. Our triple room, however, was really small, and the bathroom was so narrow that my boyfriend, who is tall but not particularly tall, barely fit in. What I didn't like was the hotel's policy of leaving the bunk beds up to guests: sheets and a duvet are provided, but it's up to you to make them yourself. A few details that needed fixing, like the broken bathroom handle or the hot/cold air splitter...a bit dilapidated."

"Where to begin? This 18th century palazzo style villa is hidden behind a tall wall with the original wooden door and knocker to greet you. Behind the door is an oasis of calm with high ceilings, original frescos and floors and the kind of deco and comforts you might expect in a five star hotel (seriously bougie toiletries). Breakfast is simple and excellent coffee, pastries juice and French style fried eggs taken in the palm sheltered garden. I had no opportunity to use the pool but it is nestled elegantly beyond the terrace. The rooms are superbly comfortable and the location is close to trains and buses which take you to all the major sites of the south of France. I was here for a festival in Cannes and it was 15-20 mins door to door to the palais by train. There is a small restored chapel in the grounds and uncountable architectural features which have been restored. Highly recommended and a big thank you to the team there who gave me such a warm welcome."

The warm, family-like atmosphere created by Gillian and Daniel made our stay truly special – it’s clear that they put a lot of heart and passion into everything they do. Gillian and Daniel were always happy to share fantastic tips for local excursions, and thanks to them, we discovered some real hidden gems. The whole house is full of character and style, with every room individually and tastefully decorated. Everything was spotlessly clean – a real standout! Breakfast was a daily highlight: varied, fresh, and delicious – and with a sea view, it was even more enjoyable. The view of the ocean and the many nearby activities made the whole experience unforgettable. We felt completely at home and would return in a heartbeat. A true hidden gem for anyone seeking relaxation, charm, and heartfelt hospitality! ❤️"
